The Forbidden Memories

I look at a baby and think to myself,
Why can't I remember being one,
Why is it that when I try to get back those memories,
I come out blank, no better than before,
coming straight back out with none.

....
....

Those little minds might hold the secret to our existence,
Maybe all their baby like act is just pretense,
Maybe they know the answer to the greatest question in the universe,
And Maybe they just swore an oath of silence.

....
....

Maybe they hold forbidden wisdom,
Maybe behind those cute beady eyes might just be the key,
Perhaps they hold the secret of where we might have been formed,
The secrets of the unseen plane we are said to come from.

....
....

But then if I'm right,
Why can't I still remember,
Then it came to me,
Maybe we just can't remember because it's a secret trapped in our inner unconscious,
Maybe it's just a secret that's to be left unknown for all of eternity,
But I still can't stop thinking,
Why can't I remember my memories as a baby.
