Although a certain percentage of people used to work from home before the covid, the numbers have definitely risen exponentially since the pandemic. A lot of people are forced to work from home whether they like it or not, either way being able to work from home has so many benefits that people are starting to take for granted. Most people think working from home is an opportunity to wake up late, work in bed, eat junk and live like a rat. Working from home has become so abused that some people rarely step out of their houses for days and have the entire world brought to their doorstep. While many might think this is a luxury is it really? It's almost like once people started working remotely they just switched completely to the hippie mode and some might not take their bath for days.

Not every remote worker falls under this bracket but many do and the number keeps rising daily. Being a remote worker doesn't mean you have to act impulsively all day. To maintain sanity and to make the best use of time it is important that you draw out a schedule or routine. Most remote workers make that mistake of thinking they have enough time because they are home, you lazy around for so long that you don't realise you have lost a lot of time. When you finally discover you have lost time you try to hurriedly get things done and so doing you loose creatively and have so little time to compete your tasks. To over come this you need to create a routine by determining what time works better for you and working around that. That way you have enough time to work as well have time for yourself.

As a remote worker it is normal that you sometimes loose track of time while working but with a routine you will be able to plan your time and make time for yourself because working remotely doesn't mean you have to work round the clock. Put in time to take care of yourself, go outdoors and enjoy the fresh air, you could read a book or go visit your friends. Enjoy the flexibility and freedom of working remotely but don't abuse it. Make out time for your family, pamper yourself or do whatever works for you. Exercising is also a great activity, create time in your routine to stay in shape because not only does it get you fit physically but mentally as well. Most remote workers gain a lot of weight because they only live on junk and sit in the same spot all day for days but by exercising regularly you will be in shape even at home.

Lastly make sure to eat right. Rather than snacking on junk all day create time to cook healthy meals for yourself. Working remotely doesn't mean you eat pizzas all day, this will only affect your health in the long run. Make healthier food choices and make sure they are regular as well. Working remotely doesn't mean you throw caution to the wind with your health, it is an opportunity and you should make the best of it.
