Hello World!

This is the 33rd Edition of the PhotoChain challenge. The PhotoChain Challenge is a blockchain-like photography contest. If you would like to know more about, read the PhotoChain Challenge INTRODUCTION Post on HIVE. There, I explain the functioning of the contest and how to participate.

In this post, I'll announce the 2 winners of the 32nd Edition of the Contest. Within the next 48 hours, I'll reward both of them with 1 HIVE SBI - as explained in the rules - and will post in the comment section of the 32ND EDITION the confirmation of transactions.

And the Winner is...

The 32nd Edition counted 8 (Eight) valid participants...

The two Key-Subjects were:

Walkway and White

These are the 2 winners of the 32nd Edition:

Prize for the next edition: 2 HIVE SBI, as I explained in the Transfer on Hive Introductory Post

Recapitulating:

This is a WEEKLY PHOTOGRAPHY Contest.

This is for EVERYONE on the Hive platform.

2 HIVE SBI PRIZE

No required UPVOTE, RESTEEM, FOLLOW or BID to participate.

I explained in the Introduction Post that everyone can participate by submitting his/her own photo in the comment section. The photo must contain the 2 Key-Subjects that will be communicated in each post of the New Edition and another key-subject at your choice (contained in the photo). I also explained there how the key-subject will change and the criterium with which I'll choose them.

Are you Ready?

START!

This week's edition is the:

33rd Edition

The KEY-SUBJECTS for this week are:

AIR and CRIMSON

Also this week a not usual couple of Key-Subjects, but maybe not too difficult if you will find a fascinating sunset. But if you will not? Ahhhhhh, I don't know, I am the creator of the Contest, not a participant. I trust in you :P

GOOD LUCK!

-- --- ---- STEPS ---- --- --

1) SUBMIT IN THE COMMENT SECTION:

  • The photo that contains the two Key-Subjects;
  • A Comment with the two Key-Subjects + another subject of your choice contained in the photo. (If you posted the image in your blog, you can post the link to that page, but you must add your photo anyway in the comment)

2) ONLY IF YOU WANT: mention another person you think would like this challenge.

3) NO FOLLOW, UPVOTE, RESTEEM REQUIRED.

4) WAIT FOR THE NEXT WEEK: time limit fixed to 3 hours before the Post Payout

I'll write a post for the weekly edition start and I'll announce the Winners of the Previous Week Edition. There I'll communicate the 2 Key-Subjects.

If you have any doubt, follow the practical example in the Introduction Post. Furthermore, I add a practical example in the comment section of the Zero Edition Post and you can consult the previous edition to know more about how can the comments be.

Rules

  • One entry each participant

  • NO PLAGIARISM!

  • The duration of the contest: 7 days, from the start announcement post to 3 hours before the Post Payout Time.

  • Editing is allowed, but not creations such as graphic design: this is a PHOTOGRAPHY contest.

  • Every Color Cover is allowed, including Black and White.

  • Every Theme is allowed: no censorship except for extremely explicit content. The nsfw contents are allowed but I will not utilize the nsfw tag for the PhotoChain Post: so, if I choose a nsfw photo as a winner, I will not insert it as an image in the official post (only as a mention or a link to the original post)

  • IMPORTANT: I invited the participants to use fairly large categories as subjects so as not to sabotage participation. You haven't to use proper names (of cities, places, mountains, species, etc)
    For example:
Don't utilize the subject snow bear but only animals; naturally I will give more importance to the photo of an animal that is not often photographed compared to a simple domestic cat.
REMEMBER! The more general the category used as a subject, the greater the participation in the competition, the greater the prizes in the future.

  • Finally, I'll advance with the prizes awarding 2 days approx after the finish of the weekly challenge. I'll write the transaction ID in the winners' announcements post.

TIME TO JOIN!

Now it's your turn.

wow, I cant believe my eyes -- my basic, simple 1-click foto is in the top again? damn, now we have a Crimson Air, it sounds tricky.. Photochain becomes complicated, but will not stop working. I am off to have a waste consultations with Herr !BEER to desire how to move on.

CRIMSON -- AIR -- HIDDEN

do you see any graffiti on this building? no, you see these strange white-painted columns instead; the graffity was masked, hidden beneath new painting layers. so, 'Hidden' is my personal keyword.

Beautiful Picture. I love your personal keyword. 😊✨

will see how it turns up, I frankly speaking feel a little discomfort from winning all the time :P hope to see others in the top more often. in any case, 'hidden' possibly will add more intrigue and complexicity to the next round, isnt it?

It surely will.
With Hidden as the keyword the entries will be embeded with the mysterious and dramatic flare... that would be fun 🌟🌟🌟

maybe thats why contest-giver tend to build in my images into photochain more often? idk, really ;) but play fair and try to be creative... there was one early round where you needed chair, and flower. I took a wilted rose, put it near the toy house that had 4 toy chairs, created a neat composition and took a nice macro shot. thats just an example. this challenge can be anything... but more cool to provide good stuff for it. well, thats my opinion ;P

Well that’s definitely smart and creative ... with this mind set I guess the challenge got more creative based and fun ...

image_4001_2_.jpg

It's a poor quality photograph, reason being, i took this shot in 1993, on an old Canon AE1, with a 35mm lens, hand held, on time release. No tripod. It was originally shot on Kodachrome E6 transparency. A reversal print was made in 1994, and this is a 19kb scan from that reversal.

Admittedly, there's been a touch of post production, but not much, mostly to try and remove the grain, but fundamentally it's the same photo, all be it, the original slide has much more depth and colour. Perhaps if i were to re-scan using today's technology i could do it more justice.

The photo is not my best Air or Crimson shot by a long way, I have far better, but this has memories attached which give it so much more value to me.

Following an arduous trek past Gangotri to the source of the Ganges glacier at Gamok, I had recently returned to Laxman Jhula, a small village, nestled in a narrow valley, just north of Rishkesh, in the Indian mountain state of Himichal Pradesh. Sitting in a chai house, perched high on the banks of the holy Ganges, sipping garam chai from a khullad clay pot, i watched this crimson sunset pour out across the sky. I can honestly say, without any hint of disingenuousness, the sky genuinely was like that. #air #crimson
