Alphabet Hunt Challenge ~ Letter U

Uh-oh! Hope you're ready for this one and (yes) I did a few edits! 😉

This is my entry in the Alphabet Hunt Challenge by @barbara-orenya. You can read more about the Alphabet Hunt and how to join in HERE!

Here are my six (or so) photos representing the letter U ...

1. Unopened
I just happened to have this bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon by Carson Ridge on hand and thought that it would make a nice entry for the letter U as it was unopened! Carson Ridge is out of California and this bottle was only $12.00 US. It is advertised as a medium to full-bodied Cabernet but I would say that is is closer to being medium and for the price it was pretty good. I'm by no means a wine expert but I do enjoy a glass (or two) of wine once in a while and I would recommend letting it aerate for about twenty minutes or so before drinking. It does make a difference and makes for a much more enjoyable glass (or two) of wine.

2. Uncorked
Well ... since I have it out! I might as well uncork it and let it aerate while taking my next set of photos! This Cabernet Sauvignon paired really well with our dinner of grilled steak and roasted potatoes. We didn't finish the whole bottle so ..uhm.. I might just have to take care of that a little later ...lol!

3. Up
While out walking a trail it is always nice to take a few photos looking up, down and all around! Here are two photos that I took looking up at some gorgeous trees and the sky then I put them in this collage. If you look at the top of the tree on the right it looks as though its branches are reaching out for a hug!

4. Under
Going from one extreme to another ... let's go check out some artwork under this bridge! I love what the artist did with the colors on these little doodles!

5. Upside Down and Underneath
I was happy to find a few Monarch butterfly caterpillars in my garden this year! They were on the milkweed plants which they eat. Some of them were even upside down and underneath of the milkweed leaves. You should've seen me trying to get photos of some of them as I'm sure you would've had a laugh.

6. Underpass
I forget where I was going to in this next photo. My husband was driving and I found myself shaking my head at all of the different overpasses which put us on the underpass. I have no sense of direction especially with so many twists and turns. Heck ... I usually get lost trying to find my way out of the doctors office! Oh well! At least, being the passenger, it gave me the opportunity to snap some pics. I wondered when I would be able to use this one and wonder no more as it worked out to be a good use for the letter U! 🙂

Unopened and uncorked - very nice finds, @deerjay ... a wine bottle never stayed unopened for a long time when I still was drinking that red fluid 😉

You have found very nice U words, @deerjay, the caterpillar underneath the leaves looks cool 😃

What a joyful walk through your selection @deerjay ! I like the way you drive us from one word/shot to another 😉
and starting with a good bottle of red wine is not a bad start indeed 😁 I love your birdie corkscrew !
The caterpillar is beautiful , I can imagine you taking the shot and yes, this thought is funny 🤭

And lastly, I'm so happy that photos you have taken one day wondering what you will do with them, ended up be so useful in your amlphabet hunt ! 😉 this is also the charming interest of this game ! 😊

Thank you very much @barbara-orenya!! Lol..the birdie corkscrew is actually one of the better corkscrews that we have in the house. Cute and functional..hee hee. 😊
I've been wondering how creative to get with the letter X for a while now and had several inventive ideas but I saw with your latest #alphabethunt post that we will be given some help with that. I'm off to leave a comment on that post. My weeks are going by way too quickly. 🙂 💖

Thanks so much @kohsamui99!! I wrote one of my words wrong and it took me three or four edits to finally get it corrected. The brain just doesn't seem to want to work right but I'm sure the bottle of wine had absolutely nothing to do with that..lol! 😂 😀

I do find for some reason the cheaper bottles of wine do taste better glad you enjoyed it 😋
