Hello Friends! Remember me?!
I'm more bogged down now than ever while taking care of my mom as she slowly recovers from open heart surgery and her broken shoulder mends.
The good news is the amazing Valvular Heart Disease & Transcath Valve Team at Barnes Jewish Hospital - St. Louis successfully replaced her aortic valve via a sternotomy at the end of May.
Your continued prayers and positive energies are most appreciated!

For my entry this week I am once again featuring photos of my darling grandbaby. These precious images were taken over the Christmas holidays.
I miss being able to visit my sweet granddaughter and see her milestone achievements as she grows up, including missing out on her first birthday next week. I admit I feel frustrated, trapped and occassionally angry at times that I'm tied down and unable to travel because as the only living family member I'm the sole caretaker for my mother.
It is what it is.

I can well understand the feeling trapped and the frustration. After all we are just human and that is the work of an angel! Oh, sweet Nina! @ninahaskin I admire you so much at this very moment. I know how long you have been there for your mom and I also know how hard it is and I also know that you wouldn't be anywhere else in the world except right there.
It is such a selfless act of love, one of those things that you probably passed on to your own daughter. Daughters cannot help but emulate their mom, especially when you have such a wonderful relationship.
I'm sorry that you are missing your adorable grandbaby, and I am sorry for that, truly I am. I hope you are getting some good skype time in and you will be able to catch up soon, I hope.
