  • Police Car

I’ll start off the Ps with this vintage 1952 Dodge Police vehicle I saw in Charlottetown, PEI.

  • PEPPY

Peppy is what I call the friendly skunk who visited my back yard. Peppy is a delightful little critter and would only spray that foul smelling discharge if he thought he was in danger.

I haven’t seen much of him lately but I know he is around and okay.

There are a lot of photos of him in my folder and I always liked this one with Peppy eating a slice of raisin cinnamon bread.

Peppy has the same black and white colors as the Police car.

I’m going to try and keep the black N’white theme throughout this hunt for Ps.

  • Pets

I have two cats, Red and Sunday. Sunday is the one fitting the black and white theme.

This photo is from the winter when Sunday is looking out the window at the snow stick on the screen.

  • Protagonist

Sunday, although younger than Red, is the protagonist in this little scuffle between The two. Sunday likes drama and starts the fight. Red will finish it by raising his big paw and pushing Sunday’s head down to the floor just like a professional wrestler.

  • Product/Produce

The Product a sheep produces is fleece. Sheep are usually sheared of their fleece once a year, in the Spring. The shearing of the sheep’s fleece is done with electric shears or clippers. The fleece is taken off in one piece and then processed and spun into wool to knit, wear and sleep upon.

It’s important to shear a sheep, not only for the product of the fleece but for the health of the animal, Leaving the fleece on can cause the sheep distress because they cannot regulate their body temperature and may die.

  • Point Prim Lighthouse.

A photo of the lighthouse in black and white to go with the theme.

Point Prim was the first lighthouse in Prince Edward Island. It was built in 1845. It is a tapered, cylindrical, brick structure covered in wood shingles. It has an elegant simplicity of form and is visually striking. The tower is valued for its excellent aesthetics, and is one of only two in Canada to combine a round form with brick construction. source.

Now to start pontificating the use of letter "P" you have found a great theme to follow through on, Peppy still steals my vote each time I see him.

Old Dodge looks elegant in black and white photography, my Dad managed to get his first car ever at age of 55 it was a 1955 Dodge, second hand drove like a big sea going vessel on the highways, great fun!

It must have been fun to drive the big boat of a car.

There’s still a lot of old cars around here. They have an old car show in Brudnell every year and people come from all over with their vintage vehicles.

Perhaps Peppy is off doing big things in his life.

We have vintage car shows, never seen the big old family cars unfortunately, have not seen a Dodge in years.

Peppy is my favorite, this is not so usual to have such a garden pet in your neighborhood, I personally never saw one 😊

Yes, I love seeing the little Peppy visit. He is a wild animal and it is quite unusual to have a skunk around but he feels safe coming here.💞

Hi Neli. The police car was a nice find or the Ps.

My cats keep me entertained with their antics. 😀😸I like having two cats as one cat by himself seems to get lonely especially if you are away for the day.

Wow, why didn't I think of a Police car? Our oldest Police cars are in museums and they are only driven at special occasions, but we didn't have such cool ones.

You have chosen real good words, Jo: Pets - your cool cats Red and Sunday are the best photo models for this word :)
I still couldn't manage to get to the sea for taking such a nice photo which you have taken of the Point Prim Lighthouse.

I was hoping to see Peppy again and I remember this nice photo very well 😊 and I believe you when you say you know he's well.

The Police Car was a lucky find. 😊 I have quite a few Island lighthouses in my photos. I think I’ve visited them all over the years.

I am worried about Peppy. I haven’t seen him in awhile.

So many animals are killed by vehicles on the highways. My heart sank a week ago when I saw a dead skunk on the side of the road near the Buffaloland area. I hope it wasn’t my little Peppy.

Do you remember last time when you saw a dead skunk? It wasn't Peppy then and it isn't Peppy now - Peppy isn't any ordinary skunk 😁

We cancelled the road trip with the Hurricane Laura looming around. It may have some effect here on Saturday. It will probably be downgraded by the time it reaches here but we will have wind and lots of rain. Will it have any effect in your area?

You're very welcome! That is probably a good decision. Last I heard they were calling for rain and it is suppose to be fast moving. I think we are expecting to see it today or tomorrow. I haven't checked the latest weather report though. Take care and stay safe! 💞

We are suppose to get lots of rain Saturday and mainly Sunday from the hurricane. I’m not sure how much wind will be left by the time it reaches our area.

I was looking at the hurricane path and it was coming through Maryland but hopefully once it strike landfall it has been downgraded.

Nice set of "P's". Nice to see peppy got in on the act and that red and Sunday were featured also.

I wonder how many Movies the light house has been in, it seems familiar looking. perhaps it is just the circular shape that gives it that familiar feel.

Great P choices. There's a cartoon character named Pepe le Pew. He's a skunk too and falls in love with a black and white cat, and amorously pursuing her all over the place. Your Peppy and Sunday just reminded me of that. I used to have so much fun watching the two. I didn't know that about sheep needing to be sheared. The lighthouse and the police car are simply priceless.
