Saludos a todos. Como cada jueves de recuerdos, aquí les comparto mi participación de hoy, jueves 04 de abril de 2024 en el Concurso de Tbt convocado por nuestro amigo José Lanz, @lanzjoseg, para la comunidad #topfamiliy. Hoy, desde muy temprano, me dediqué como cada semana, a revisar mis álbumes digitales, y físicos, a colores y sin ellos, y me encontré con esta imagen que data de unos sesenta y tantos años, aproximadamente… yo ni pensaba nacer, debí andar escondida en el mundo de los angelitos esperando mi turno, jajaja. Como a muchos de ustedes, también las fotos antiguas en estos formatos, me causan mucha nostalgia, porque siento que es un pasado lleno de simplezas y aun así, estaba repleto de felicidad y hermosos momentos dentro de la cotidianidad de sus protagonistas.

En la imagen se encuentran, mi tía María, y mi prima Gigí. Mi tía, la matriarca de la familia Foucault, única hermana de mi madre y la mayor de ellas dos, siempre se caracterizó por ser mamá gallina cuidando de sus pollitos, y les cuento que los pollitos no sólo eran sus 5 hijos (casi 7 porque murieron dos de ellos antes de nacer), sino también mi madre, mi padre y yo. Nos adoptó hasta el punto de brindarnos un sitio especial dentro de su hogar, y también de su familia recién construida.

Today, very early in the morning, as I do every week, I went through my digital and physical albums, with and without colors, and I found this image that dates back to about sixty-something years ago... I wasn't even thinking of being born, I must have been hiding in the world of the little angels waiting for my turn, hahaha. Like many of you, old photos in these formats also cause me a lot of nostalgia, because I feel that it is a past full of simplicity and yet, it was full of happiness and beautiful moments in the daily life of its protagonists.

In the picture are my aunt Maria and my cousin Gigi. My aunt, the matriarch of the Foucault family, the only sister of my mother and the eldest of the two, was always characterized for being a mother hen taking care of her chicks, and I tell you that the chicks were not only her 5 children (almost 7 because two of them died before being born), but also my mother, my father and me. He adopted us to the point of giving us a special place in his home, and also in his newly built family.

El lugar de la foto era la casa grande, la casa familiar, una construcción de dos pisos que tenía más de 10 habitaciones, dos salas, dos comedores, una gran cocina, un corredor inmenso donde jugar, y un patio donde cabían unas tres casas más y nosotros corríamos libremente. Junto a mi tía, está su hija mayor, su primogénita, Gigí, y en ese momento mi tía estaba embarazada de mi segunda prima, Raquel.

En la foto lucen radiantes, mi tía enseñándola a caminar con su andadera, modelo de antaño, ella quizás no tan a gusto en el aparato, o tal vez extrañada con la gallinita que descansaba en su vehículo, jajaja. Amé un mundo a esas dos mujeres. Ambas se fueron al cielo, hermosas, con un corazón repleto de bondad y empatía, de carácter muy fuerte, siempre pendientes de resguardarnos bajo sus alas. Mi tía nos abandonó hace 30 años, y mi prima Gigí, se nos fue el año pasado, un par de meses después que mi mamá. Siempre digo que las tres deben estar en el cielo reunidas conversando de todo, como cuando estaban aquí junto a nosotros.

The place in the photo was the big house, the family home, a two-story building that had more than 10 bedrooms, two living rooms, two dining rooms, a large kitchen, a huge corridor where we could play, and a yard where three other houses could fit and we could run around freely. Next to my aunt is her eldest daughter, her firstborn, Gigí, and at that time my aunt was pregnant with my second cousin, Raquel.

In the photo they look radiant, my aunt teaching her to walk with her walker, model of yesteryear, she perhaps not so comfortable in the apparatus, or maybe estranged with the little hen resting in her vehicle, hahaha. I loved those two women dearly. They both went to heaven, beautiful, with a heart full of kindness and empathy, very strong characters, always ready to shelter us under their wings. My aunt left us 30 years ago, and my cousin Gigi, left us last year, a couple of months after my mom. I always say that the three of them must be in heaven together talking about everything, like when they were here with us.
