OH DEAR SOULMATE

I consider inquisitive, couples everywhere;
Peacefulness and joy, as all lives are shared.
I begin to ponder when it will be my turn;
I am starting to drift deeper into thinking.

Love will always spread by burning like wildfire;
The greatest of emotions, that's what I've heard, at least.
To give everything I have, I gladly dare to;
So why am I empty, with nothing to think about?

As time passes and my confidence is depleted,
I must stand firm and avoid accepting defeat.
I read about the 'soul mate,' the one, the only one;
I am still so lonely, but hope is restored.

Before bed and dinner, you are what I pray for;
You'll grant me the promised emotion to feel.
I know you're out there, night after night;
It is most definitely unusual to have a relationship like ours.

I know I can beat as much as I doubt my enemy;
Before we are destined to meet that day.
