This was highly educational!!

Makes me want to view my favorite anime/movies in Black and White, but like he said, it's not just about adding monochrome filter, every scene have to be edited on its own.

It's also a great opportunity to spot good filmmaking technique. You can clearly see framing, blocking etc. There's even a unique touch to the movies when they are in black & white.

The Black/White advantages over color movies, as #MythMachine describes, are the same ones I love about Manga against Anime. It leaves more to the imagination, & makes you appreciate the strengths more.

If you're a film-maker/storyteller, it makes it easier to find flaws too!
