Apple has changed a lot after Steve Jobs and can't say its for the better. Financials and business wise they are better than ever. But it feels the soul has died. I'm looking forward to Open Source more than ever.

Totally agree, but remember that Steve Jobs is type of a hard worker (and thinker) that appears once in every 5 years, what are the chances of apple finding/hiring someone like that again?

That's true. But at least Apple could stick by principles of Steve Jobs and respect their customer privacy and autonomy more.
