It looks bad to vote yourself, it makes you look like you are here for the rewards, and not the community, but you just admitted that, didn't you?

that I do! some may think self-voting looks bad, but I personally think downvoting cat pictures because you think it made too much HIVE looks bad too..
I know the whole "downvoting is essential, blah blah" spiel. and I agree with it, especially when used against scammers, thieves and other nefarious actors... but sometimes I think it just makes ya look like an asshole.
People get happy when they make a post and it gets a lot more rewards than usual. People get upset when they see their rewards got wiped because someone disagreed with how much they earned. I'm just not one that likes to go around and make people unhappy. Never been a fan of the groups that try to police the platform. When I've looked at the responses they get it seems to me like they just get off on ruining people's days. Lots of low-level genuine accounts getting bullied, while the "Top Posts" section is consistently shuffling the same whales over and over.
Well, at this point, we don't have the fine tuned machine that folks such as yourself would create were you to take the time to join in as a voice in the consensus.
If your response to abusive stake is gonna be, 'meh', then this is the level you can expect from 'us'.
Community consensus doesn't build itself, and it suffers from the lack of your voice.
btw... came for the rewards... stayed for the community (but the rewards are a plus!)

See, that is why we need your voice in the consensus, without it there is no dissent, without dissent the collective truth can't be found.
The great thing about getting downvoted is it teaches you to control your emotional triggers.
Rewards don't belong to you until day 7.
They are subject to the whim of 'the community', even if that is just one overpowered account.
The great thing about this community is that we, largely, don't like bullies, nor people getting pushed around by those more powerful.
It's like beating up little kids, even if the 7 year old busts you in the lip it is unlikely that he will win the fight.
This is a struggle that has been ongoing since the launch, it will only get worse if the price continues to rise, and more folks feel like building bots to attack our efforts.
It is the duty of all stakeholders to protect the pool from those that would wreck it.
What that will look like is up to 'us'.
You can always follow flag trails with a dust downvote just to see what is getting downvoted and pushback on any egregiousness you see.

weak.. ya def had the opportunity to fire a dank meme back at me. More seriously tho, anything over $1 for a DBuzz buzz will get ya hit with downvotes from across the community.. instead of bein an asshole callin the community an asshole, simply go elsewhere for over $1 rewarded posts. I have a meme community if ya like memes.
