Word on the street is that self voting takes away from those already voting you. It might scare your voters away from giving rewards they say. They also say that if we stop self voting it may attract a bigger crowd.
I have still yet to see the numbers explained in this. . . The math study behind the results of account growth with self vote and without self vote. Does content quality increase during the time frame for the tests. Is the time frame long enough?

It's really up to you what you want to do though. I have seen some people downvoting self voters aswell.
