První den měsíce padajícího listí přesně vystihoval český název Listopad. Od rána až do večera drobně pršelo a s kapkami deště se k zemi snášely i listy stromů.

The first day of the month of falling leaves accurately described the Czech name „LISTOPAD“. From morning to evening it rained lightly and with raindrops the leaves of the trees fell to the ground.

I stood by the young maple for a while, hoping to take a picture of the falling leaf. In vain. Even though the wind was light and the leaves were heavy with rain, none fell off.

Wet and cold, after an afternoon stroll, I liked to sit by the fireplace and be warmed and soothed by the cheerful flames.

Stál jsem nějakou chvíli u mladého javoru a doufal, že se mi podaří vyfotit padající list. Marně. I když foukal mírný vítr a listy byly obtěžkány deštěm, žádný neodpadl.

Mokrý a prochladlý jsem, po odpolední procházce, rád zasedl ke krbu a nechal se ohřívat a konejšit veselými plameny :-)
