My Actifit Report Card: March 20 2020

I went to work a bit early to continue working on the things that needed doing. I was surprised when the doc showed up 30 minutes early. He started talking about how we were pretty stable and that my job should be fine for at least a month or so. At that point, I had to stop him and ask what he knew that I didn’t. He was beginning to see that they might close the state down with a shelter in place order. One of our competitors who has 12 stores in this area shut it’s doors yesterday. We discussed things for a bit and decided to reschedule all of the appointments for next week to mid April. We are hoping that’s enough time for things to progress with the virus. So, I spent the morning calling those 2 days’ people and getting them moved. As it happened, our first three patients were a family who called and cancelled their appointments for this morning. The entire morning’s appointments were gone. Come the afternoon, we had 2 no shows and no cancellations.
So we are closing for the next 2 Mondays and only having a ‘soft opening’ of just manning the shop and nothing much else for Tuesday through Friday. If the lockdown comes, we close entirely. I’m suspecting that few people will grace the door of the shop.
After I got home from work, I had about an hour before our hike.
It was a gloriously warm afternoon with sunshine 🌞 which made it perfect weather for the hike.

I hope that people start staying home so we flatten the curve and your job can stay safe for longer than a month. So many people are getting laid off, the longer it lasts the longer it will take the economy to recover.
Amen to that! I often wonder what people are thinking when they are out 'playing' around? Either they think they're invincible or they're naive, or maybe they just don't care. It frustrates me! Thanks for commenting and have a good night.🤗💕
