My Actifit Report Card: June 13 2020
Not much going on today. I just spend some time doing a few things around the house. Mostly I tinkered around with the new Raspberry Pi computer.
I've tried a lot of versions of Ubuntu desktops on Ubuntu Server and none of them seemed to work really well with the Pi. There was a lot of odd display issues, performance issues and bugs.
The Raspberry Pi Operating system works well though. But I'm not sure if I can build the software I really want to run on it.
I suppose I should try to figure out what exactly I want to do with the system. Just a bare bones server running just terminal processes might work but I would like to do more with the computer if possible.
Right now it sort of feels like some high maintenance sports car or something. I've spent a lot of time trying to sort out different issues and not much time getting the stuff I really want to run going.
Hopefully I can make a little better progress and spend more time out exercising. 
Yeah it is just hard to deal with Linux lol @lightsplasher
I would like to use Ubuntu but they have no way of enhancing the sound like the FXsound can do.
It is fun to tinker with and can work well. I use it mostly now and rarely use anything else.
Which new Rpi? I've been thinking of buying a Rpi4 to build a BTC node + LN node via Tor that I can connect directly with the Green Wallet and do my own tx on my own node, heard the Rpi4 has some problems with heating, what is ur take on it?
I have the Rpi4 with 8 gigs of memory. I got a fan and heat sinks so hopefully it will be cool. I have not run anything intense on it yet though.
Hmmm, my friend was testing it under extreme usage, so that's probably why... I've been thinking about buying one from eBay, is your's a used one or did you buy it factory new?
Mine is factory new. I got it from Cana Kit with case, power supply, fan, etc. It has been fun to play with. I would like to get a second card to test different operating systems with. I might eventually get a few of these if I can get them to run things.
