Today I had to run to town with my truck to pick up some pallets for firewood for next year, and I drove by the Glen Echo Community club.
I have passed this community club many times over the years, and never stopped to take a close look.
So this is what I found out……😊
This is actually a 1906 school House! The inside is actually quite beautiful with Douglasfir flooring in an open floor plan that works for any kind of meetings or dances. And then I saw this paper on the front porch....😯
Isn’t this part of why we are here???😊

I knew the Mrs wasn’t going to get her @actifit hike in this wet weather, so it was just me today!

Cool! Can I ask you how much normally cost that pallet ( In Europe we call it “american or industrial”? 🍻
These palettes are actually free! I mix these up with real firewood for winter time because most of them are actually oak and they burn fantastic!
I always love going through historic old structures. So interesting! That schoolhouse was built when my V nickle was in circulation:

They usually rent this building out for dancers. Some of these very historic buildings we’re built better than today’s homes. Up in the Northwest there’s a lot of Douglas fir, in many homes have massive beams inside that are well over 100 years old!
