I've been crazy busy for the past week with our big house move, so I'm posting Three Tune Tuesday on Thursday. Keep scrolling down to find this week's recommendations.

The jist

Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Or why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and hopefully upvote it. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music.

Also each week I try to include at least one Irish artist for your listening pleasure, as obviously with me being Irish, I'll know some songs that may not be widely known outside of Ireland.

Here are the week five recommendations for Three Tune Tuesday

Gomez - Tijuana Lady (1998)

The English indie rock band from Southport, brought out two classic albums when I was a teenager and they still stand up to scrutiny. The albums were Liquid Skin and Bring it on

Here is one of my favourite songs from their debut album Bring it on. A gem of an album, if you don't know it, go have listen. It will warm your ear holes 👂🎼

Pulp - Common People (1995)

This one is an iconic song by Jarvis Cocker and his fellow Shefield crooners. These guys are on the go since 1978 and I have a Jarvis Cocker story for you. Pulp played a gig in Galway back in the 90s and I was working in Galway's only 5 star hotel at the time. Jarvis was a grumpy fecker and zero tips came our way as porters, barmen or waitresses! The man can sing, he just can't tip!

Damien Rice - The Blowers Daughter (2002)

As promised, here is my Irish artist for the week. Damien Rice rose to prominence in the early 2000s when he embarked on a solo career after around ten years with the local rock band Juniper. The rest of that band went onto become Bel X1, an excellent Irish band and Damien went his own way. His first solo album O was an instant success and this song is from that album.
