#MetalWeekend & #RockClassics - favorite music?

avatar

Hi,

this week,@katerinaramm asked in post, on one cool platform, named Torum about our favorite music.

So,I will copy it, like my Roman ancestors did to the Greeks, when they copied most of the culture and will ask you, what your favorite music is?

As a good example, I will start to show you mine, at least for this week. As it is #metalweekend, the tag inspired by @detlev and it will go good with #rockclassics, the tag brought to life by @uwelang I will go full metal with a classic.

I love Metallica and Master of Puppets was the song for this week. I have some more from them that I love like this one, where the ending is just gorgeous:

Let's bring some commenting back in here, which is your favorite song, it can be one that you like at the moment. I would really like to learn and discover more music so bring it on.

One of my favorites ...... Always happy to hear it :)

About what I am hearing now, I am not sure you will like it .. I used to be more a metalhead - as I grow older I become more pop (and I dont know if it is good or bad)
haha Happy Weekend!

Recently I notice quite a few HIVEers talking about Torum. Is it indeed that interesting?

Sometimes I wonder where people get all the time required to participate in gazillion communities. But it's maybe just me being super slow or something :)

Anyway, my favourite music... Very very difficult to say, since I don't have that one song or track I like the most. What I do have is my list of 14 albums that had some major influence in my life. By default, these artists and albums have a special place in my heart and I can listen to them forever. That said, many artists, albums, songs and tracks I very much like, are not on this list. Though my own music library should give you a hint what makes my clock tick :)

I hope I didn't got you snowed under by all this music :)

Wow,thanks @edje for the long list! Now I have some good material for listening. I've seen some artists that I love, that are not known to the masses like Hooverphonic (amazing sound) and HVOB. Some I don't know like Cobblestone Jazz and Minilogue. The nex days would be a wonderful hearing spectacle.

Well, regarding Torum, I can say it is a new platform where the founders are very active and interactive. You can cross posts the things from Hive, which is fine. I think most have more time due to the lack of commute caused be the lockdowns. For example, I have 2 more hours screen time where I would be driving for work and back home.

Hooverphonic is amazing indeed. HVOB, I do like them a lot, but some of their works start to feel the same same. Cobblestone Jazz, Minilogue is totally something else. It belongs to the electonic dance music side of things. These two are Techno sub-genres. Cobbelstine Jazz (Mathew Jonson) is such an amazing musician, goosebumbs for me when I listen to his works. Monilogue as well, but different :) You'll find more electronic music in the list. Also older ones, fromt he 70s. But also (modern) classical and music scores and all. And in between also some more pop-ish here and there. NJOY to discovery! Let me know what you likre or hate for that matter. A little advise, listen with good headphones or solid HIFI speakers to most of the music, it'll enhance the appreciation so much more 😉
