Whats up people! Happy start of the week! This time I come to recommend three funk songs to start the week.

With this post I start this new dynamic of recommendations on my blog. This is an idea I saw in the blog of my friend @ilazramusic where he recommends three songs to start the week, with his permission I joined this dynamic of recommending 3 weekly songs and if you also want you can join this initiative too. Without further ado, here are these 3 gems:

Que dice la gente! Feliz inicio de semana! En esta oportunidad vengo a recomendarles tres canciones funk para iniciar la semana.

Con este post doy inicio a esta nueva dinámica de recomendaciones en mi blog. Esta es una idea que vi en el blog de mi amigo @ilazramusic donde recomienda tres canciones para comenzar la semana, con su permiso me sumo a esta dinámica de recomendar 3 canciones semanales y si tú también lo deseas puedes unirte a esta iniciativa. Sin más que agregar, aquí están estas 3 gemas:

VULFPECK – Back Pocket

Vulfpeck es uno de los grupos de funk moderno que más me gustan. Black Pocket es una canción saltarina, alegre, que como su nombre menciona es pocket, es decir, que mantiene el groove solido, a buen tiempo, con buen peso y feel.

Entre las cosas geniales de esta canción está el solo de flauta al final, buenísimo.

Vulfpeck is one of my favorite modern funk bands. Black Pocket is a bouncy, upbeat song that, as the name pocket implies, it keeps a solid grove, in good time, with a good weight and feel.

Among the great things about this song is the flute solo at the end, very nice.

Scary Pockets ft Elise Trouw – Dreams

Dreams es una canción original de Fleetwood Mac, pero Scary Pockets resucitó este tema para darle un nuevo color y esencia funk, de hecho, me atrevo a decir que esta versión es mucho mejor que la original.

Las líneas de metales son súper pegajosas, mientras que el acompañamiento de bajo y guitarra mantiene la base funk, eso junto a los arreglos de las voces, le suma colores y sabor al tema. Entiendo que son vibes totalmente diferentes, pero a mí me gusta mucho más esta versión funk.

Una canción bastante animada, pegajosa, ideal para empezar una semana con buena vibra.

Dreams is an original Fleetwood Mac song, but Scary Pockets resurrected this song to give it a new color and funk essence, in fact, I dare to say that this version is much better than the original.

The brass lines are super catchy, while the bass and guitar accompaniment keeps the funk base, that along with the vocal arrangements adds colors and flavor to the song. I understand that they are totally different vibes, but I like this funk version much better.

A very lively, catchy song, ideal to start a week with a good vibe.

Anderson Paak ft ScHoolboy Q – Am I wrong

Anderson Paak es uno de mis compositores favoritos, muchos de sus temas me encantan y este es sin duda uno de mis favoritos. El bajo es quien mantiene el groove durante toda la canción, y la línea de metales, que es una de mis favoritas en la vida, es lo que aporta la melodía para terminar de reventar el tema.

A mi esta canción me quita la mala vibra rapidito, espero a ustedes también les funcione.

Anderson Paak is one of my favorite songwriters, I love many of his songs and this is definitely one of my favorites. The bass is the one who keeps the groove throughout the song, and the brass line, which is one of my favorites in life, is what brings the melody to finish the song.

This song makes me get rid of any bad vibes quickly, I hope it works for you too.
