Next set of photography from Iceland

Dear Hivean friends,

Hope you are doing well, wherever you are.
There were some busy weeks for me lately due to the move to new house, but hopefully things will normalize in the near future. That is more of a wish, as in about two weeks we are expecting new member of our family, so there will be hands full of work again.

Consider everything it is going on with house move, new baby and coronavirus, new travel plans will have to wait. It has been more than a year since I was on a bigger travel (Ethiopia in January 2020) and it will soon be a year from my last last travel which was to Iceland at the end of July 2020. As I am currently not planning a travel and don’t even know which destination would it be or when, I am only allowed to dream and relive memories from my past travels. And there is no better way, than doing that through Hive with you guys. You know I like sharing my photos and I am thrilled as I am getting so many comments under my posts. That is a positive aspect of posting so rarely, so a lot of you actually check my post and leave his regards under.

I will be reliving my freshest memories today, meaning I will share some photos from Iceland. It is hard for me to write anything new and fresh for you as I say how impressed I was about Iceland everytime I am making a post with it. I often see amazing photos from other talented photographers on our blockchain from that destination as well and I am impressed how beautiful they are. So once again, my huge recommendation for you, visit Iceland if you have possibility, especially if you like to take photos as it is hard to do bad photos there. I was travelling there during summer last year, when coronavirus was a bit less spread around and that was the best decision. I heard that there can be bunch of people at the landmarks, but at the time of our visit I hardly met anyone. Also price related it was much more affordable, than in some other peak season.

Thanks for not missing my post again!
Yes there is quite a lot happening during these strange times. I have a lot of time to spend with my family and to do next step, or actually couple of them.
I only miss traveling, but I am sure there will still be time for that in couple of years.
Have a great Monday, I suppose there is already Monday down there :)

Yep it is a shame we are all missing that traveling but in 2 years time the new baby will be older and maybe easier to travel.
You all take care and will be looking forward to your next post 👍

Great photos! Is the third one of the rift between the North American and the Eurasian tectonic plates?

Thanks for stopping by!
No, I don't think it is the rift.
On third photo there is place called Sigöldugljufur or Valley of Tears.
Beautiful place full of waterfalls.
Thank you for the guess anyway!

It is an awesome place as already described, so when you will have a chance to visit you won't be dissapointed.
About my photos, weather conditions were not the best during my time there. but I am still satisfied with what I was able to capture there.

Nice! Did you go on a self driven trip? That's what I've been thinking about in the summer, so the daylight is up even in the evening. We can skip the big tourist groups that way and not care about jet lag as much.. 😀

Yes, I pretty much always do self drive tours. I also do itinerary myself and rarely use agancy for any help. Planning is another fun part of my trip :)
Summer is awesome in Iceland, due to the daylight as you already wrote. But winter has other charms. I somehow like winter edition of Iceland more. It just suits more to the landscape and its name I guess :) Or it might be due to Northern Lights :)
But it is definitely more pleasant to travel there during summer months.

Well I do hope I could see both summer and winter as you did eventually. Northern Lights aren't something to miss out on.

What should I say, this country is just beautiful and you manage to capture it's beauty every time. The landscapes are always so amazing. I like the lonogtime exposures of the water, the detail shots, the horses, the beautiful colors of the water, lakes and in general the landscape of Iceland is just amazing and you always manage to capture the best of it. But I must admit that I also always like your pictures from Afrika or Slovenia.

Such a beautiful place. I could go there again and again.
As a nature lover like you are and with your photography skills I am sure you would be able to produce stunning shots!
Hope you will make it there soon and I will make sure to continue sharing photos from Slovenia and Africa as well.

Awesome shots. I would love to go to Iceland one day. There are some igloo things that we would want to stay in and see the northern lights. It's definitely on our bucket list.

For igloo accommodation we would need a big Hive pump :)
When you will visit make sure to come to me for some tips.

Reflecting back through days before family life starts always good!

Congratulations on excellent photography and finding time to share again. Waterfalls throughout are stunning, seeing the fauna, flora and artistic buildings one cannot doubt you were far North.

Have a wonderful day, yes comments do appear to flow when visiting members more and posting such quality less. Quality counts, have a wonderful day enjoy the new home, take some sleep before baby arrives, you will miss sleep.... 😉

Thanks for leaving your mark at my blog again!
I am always happy to read your comments! Recently I was not that active with authoring posts and engaging with others, but I still try to stay visible, so you don't forget me that quickly :)
I won't loosing words about Iceland at that moment as we all know it is fabulous, I will rather take a nap before someone will wee wee all the time :)

Take care!

Planned your life in the right sequence, travel, travel now settle. Perhaps too well planned with travel being difficult at the moment, who know if it will ever return to what you experienced, well that was how I feel about travel in the 70's, long before settling and children arrived....

New chapter in life with a home to call your own, little one to dote on taking photographs of milestones met, have fun, always look forward to your content.

Lots of air, wide spaces and an abundance of waterfalls. A harsh and beautiful land. Great photos, my friend. This place was created for photographers :))
I hope that I will soon congratulate you on your addition to the family. Health to you and your mother-to-be. It's a very exciting time

These photos reminded me of my beloved Venezuela, especially La Gran Sabana, because even though you see beautiful photos, it is not compared to when you live that moment, I think there is no way to express that beautiful feeling!!!! Very beautiful photos @crazy-andy

It's always such a pleasure to look at photos from this amazing island and you've been to some beautiful places where the time hasn't allowed to go to on my trip.

Bad post, sir! (as you make me dream a lot again :D :P)

Well, I had luck to visit it two times. During second visit, I already know what and where :) And summer daylight gave me a lot of extra time :)

Dreaming is good :)

Have you noticed they have put a "P" (parking) signs on Road 1, next to every major site that's worth visiting it? Of course, there are much more places and some hidden gems but I enjoyed this a lot, it wasn't hard to follow :) No white nights there? I haven't checked yet.

Yes there are some quite big parking spaces at major sites. I heard it get very crowded during peak season. You can wait hour(s) just to get space. That was positive in my case during Covid that there was nobody so no waiting time.
Yes Iceland actually have white nights during summer months. If you can not sleep you can visit some beautifull waterfall at 3 am :)

Interesting. We were there in 2016, plenty of tourists but apart from the Blue Lagoon, we were able to stop/park/go everywhere we wanted to. Our trip was late August/early September and no white nights, probably they happen earlier, I'll have to check and plan better in advance, if there is next time, hope there is :) We enjoyed most of the sunsets though :)))
