Almost Around the Lake

Ok, so I decided to set out on the 4 kilometre loop trail circling the lake. (Spoiler alert: I didn’t make it all the way around) A perimetre lake trail implies no elevation gain right? Must be at least a lot easier than the 500 metres of gain it took me to get up here. Off I went. I did run into a few other hikers who were doing it counterclockwise, and was told about a few difficult sections on the opposite side of the lake. Already the trail was proving to be not exactly easy goings, and then I encountered a grumpy sounding deer all by itself, just sort of digging in the dirt near the trail — and it looked at me… Perfect opportunity to call it and turn around. Thanks for stopping by.

Haha! 😄 The path around the lake turned out to be much tougher than expected! Sometimes, turning back is the smartest move—especially when you run into a grumpy deer along the way!
I guess it was my excuse to turnaround, next time I am going all the way!

Sometimes the smartest hiking decision is knowing when to call it a day.
You took a lot of beautiful pictures, I enjoyed seeing you pictures.
The lake trail still sounds like a beautiful adventure, even if you didn't complete the loop!
Next time I plan on going all the way, just have to mentally prepare for it.
That's the right mindset! Half the battle is mental preparation.
You've got this next time!
That is 100% true.
Very amazing beautiful nature
I had a blast, thanks.

enchanting place, probably with a good fishing as a bonus
Yes, I would assume so. There were a few anglers out there.
The more photographs I see of this lake, the more fascinated I become. What to say, I am just jealous of you as you already visited there.
It certainly was not a typical perimetre trail experience.
lake by the hill side always looks good, be it for trekking or walking. I have been to sanasar lake recently and it was pure joy,

It really was so enjoyable. Thanks for stopping by.
The black and white shots really capture the ruggedness of the trail! That perspective is something else. Another great set, man
Thanks, always love to show off the black and whites.
Haha when the photos look this sharp, they are definitely worth showing off.
The first picture is magnificent. I was wondering the angle of elevation you were when you took the shot. Beautiful area, also, the picture with the rocks beneath the transparent lake is also nice. Do they allow people take a swim, or is it prohibited in the area?
If I remember correctly, was just standing there at the lakeshore.
Anybody is allowed to swim at this lake; pretty sure it is quite cold though.
Yeah, I forgot it's actually going to be pretty cold, I mean, do people in Canada actually do a lot of outdoor swimming, since it's mostly cold a lot of times?
Yes, but not necessarily mountain fed lakes. Lakes on the prairie sections of Canada are warmer.

Thanks.
That’s very peaceful looking.
It was!
That’s a really nice place for hiking, nice photography as well. take care!
Indeed it was, thanks.
You're welcome 🤗
Sometimes, the most challenging trails turn out to be the most memorable ones.
I think you are right.
