Trek to Lineham Falls

DSC00682.jpeg

The first planned hike during my Waterton Lakes Park stay was to Lineham Falls. I had been looking forward to this one for about a year actually! Orginally I had considered doing it the year before, but instead ended up doing a hike to Crandell Lake (which was decent). The hike to the falls took about 3.5 hours or so roundtrip, with an elevation gain of about 350 metres (or 1,150 feet for our American friends). Once again only a few other hikers on the trail that day, I suppose it was likely due to the mediocre weather forecast. I was going rain or shine no matter what! Thanks for stopping by.

The photos are truly beautiful especially when the colored ones are placed next to the black‑and‑white ones. This contrast shows how lifeless everything would be if the world, or our eyes, saw only in black and white. It’s the colors that create real beauty, and they make the world so much more captivating.💚💚

The mediocre forecast turning into a near-empty trail is the hiker's dream outcome, rain or shine beats a crowded viewpoint every time.

Yes, very true. A few sprinkles won't kill you.

Beautiful greenery and wildflowers on the trail that day. It's nice to have a trail with so few hikers, it makes it so much more quiet and relaxing. Only downfall is you have to be more watchful of those hungry bears, good thing you have that bear spray handy!

Not too bad a hike, sounds like a great day, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Enjoy your week even though you aren't out hiking!

A year of buildup for a 3.5-hour payoff is very on-brand for you, and it sounds like the falls delivered.
