Snowman Parade And Other Macro Attempts
Winters are not the same anymore around here, every winter is warmer than the previous one and slowly snow becomes a miracle. Yesterday afternoon it started to snow but you can't trust anything these days. We've had a few snowing this winter and none of them lasted more than a few hours.
When I woke up this morning, the first thing I did was to check if there's still snow outside as I wanted to go for a photo shoot. To my surprise there was still snow, quite a lot actually, so I was out of the door as quickly as possible.
Finding fresh snow is not easy and I knew once the sun is up, my chances are going to shrink like the chances for the world economy to get healthy soon.
When I got to the park, I started to look for interesting formations and this one caught my eye. It looks like a map to me, or I just want to see it as a map.
The bench was next to the bush, inviting you to take a seat and rest for awhile. I said I'll pass as it would have been too ❄️for me.
The flowers are really done. This was the only rose bud I could find. It looks big but because it's macro photo the bud is actually a very small one.
This was the first snowman I met today. When I got there Mr. Snowman was already leaning right, which suggest he was created last night.
Here's the next one I met, but I was a bit confused about this. I didn't understand it it was a snowman with his hands on his chest or if this supposed to be a snow woman and those are her breasts. Th artist wasn't around to ask questions from, so I guess I'll leave you to decide what it is.
This one was next. This snowman actually looks happy as he's smiling and he also has arms and a nice beret. I love this one.
The next one is this, with these colorful buttons and branch arms.
This is the last one, really minimalist.
It was surprising to see so many snowmen around me today. The bad thing is none of them will be there tomorrow as the snow already started to melt.
I already had to step into ankle deep slush when crossing the street.
As always, there are things I can't explain, like why is the snow missing from the lower part of the tree? It is possible someone have already cleaned it, but I don't think so as no one in their right mind would spend 5 minutes to clean a tree at 8 in the morning.
I tried some macro shots as well, with more or less success.
This is my favorite. I tried to capture that tiny little piece of ice, bridging two tiny leaves. This is called capturing the moment as I bet it's not there anymore.
Today, while looking at these snowmen I was thinking of how lucky we were when we were kids. We spent the winter holiday outside, playing in the snow, sledding, skating, or just sliding down the slops on a piece of nylon sometimes. It was a lot of fun and we could never have enough.
This winter this is the first serious snow, so to speak. Kids didn't even have the time to enjoy it as last night it was late to go out and this morning kids had school. Now it's already too late as it is melting and it's very wet. Some of them may not even know what snow really is.
Looking at the weather forecast, in the upcoming week there will be a few days in which snowing is foretasted, but I suppose it will be like this, the snow will last for a few hours. I'm happy I could capture the snow and could feel it under my feet.

Thank you @steemflow
I didn't make a snowperson yet this year. It should snow tomorrow, so maybe I'll change that.
I've planned to make one with the first snow, but wasn't feeling good last night, so I skipped it. Others however made some as you can see.
There's something special about winter, no matter where you are in the world.
Greetings!
I agree and I could not live without winter, I'm so used to it.
Thanks for stopping by!
These are really good shots. Well done
Thank you!
You could have created a butt-snow-angel on the bench lol, and I agree, it looks like a globe or map. Snow became rare here too and I remember the same childhood, playing in the snow, no sorrows. Glad I experienced seasons back then lol.
No, no, no! I won't sit in the snow, now way!!!
I'm glad you also have been able to catch the good times 🙂
Our snow is allgone but this is why I leave many of my flowers/plants uncut in Autumn, as the snow and cold does so much magic to left flower heads, wonderful on that rose @erikah
I don't have roses, so cutting them is not among my worries but many say roses have to be cut during autumn.
quiet true, but I always leave on a few blooms and rosehips because I'm so enamoured of them with snow or frost on @erikah
Nature is unpredictable, one moment its raining and the other moment we see sun is shining.
Anyway those clicks of snow man are nice and perfectly taken.
Have a nice day ahead.
Thank you. Yes, nature is really unpredictable, which is good in a wa. All the best to you too.
I can send you a carrot for the nose
Thank you buy these are not my snowmen so I would not mess with other people's work.
Snowmen? Are you sure? What if it is snowwoman? :) #woke
The photo of the rose bud looks amazing! I really love how this photo turned out! You can actually see that it's frozen! Also the colors are so beautiful! I was just leaving a comment to Photoscape, he posted about some roses and a flower he found in octomber, called them survivors! I say this is a real survivor! Also the raspberries I found in mid december. Lol =)
