Growing up

(Edited)

Augie at three years old breaking trail snowshoeing out to his friends fishing hut at Ness Lake. Clancy following not far behind. For parents who are not particularly fussed with fishing it’s amazing how individual personality and environmental influences develop their interests at such a young age. Now that we live full time on a sailboat his interest in fishing would more accurately be described as an obsession.

Makes a beautiful panorama but lost on a small screen so I posted the square version above as the title shot. If you have a larger screen feel free to click on the image below.

The sky looks like if it was a long exposure shot. Great one!

Thanks. It was actually a short exposure, just very fast high altitude clouds as you often get way up north closer to the poles.

It is hard work breaking tracks in deep snow; he was doing well.

I am so damn happy to see children enjoy outdoor activities especially with good care of their parents to encourage/support them to experience the world while guide them along the way.

Thanks. It's important to get them out and keep them out there exploring. Give them a love for the world so they can appreciate it for themselves once we are long gone.
