Traditional Han Chinese city, Pingyao, China (6 pics)

Pingyao is a traditional Han Chinese city located in the central Shanxi Province in China.

The city was founded in the 14th century and was include in the World Heritage site in 1997 by UNESCO.

We can see the traditional architectures as they were, since everything is very well-preserved.

The wall was built in Ming Dynasty to resist the invaders.

The Pingyao Wall of Nine Dragons is one of only three in China.

Impressive piece of art.

Pingyao is a UNESCO World Heritage site recognized for its well-preserved example of a traditional Han Chinese city. A must see if you are in the region.

The city itself is a museum.

This city has not change a lot changes since the Ming Dynasty.

It is completely surrounded by high ramparts where we can admire many homes of traditional architecture like this one.

The ancient city is nice to walk around.

We can visit a lot of temple and most of them are well preserved.

Some expositions are more interesting than others, but we can still learn a lot about the city in everyone of them.
