Daughter of Eve and the seed of Jacob| Outdoor female portraits from a collaboration session.

Ember months are usually the busiest for events photographers in Nigeria. I don't know if it's the same in other parts of the world. Since last month, I've been busy almost every single day. Traveling almost every weekend. It's a good thing though, based on the financial importance of these activities, but also physically demanding.

The high frequency of activities have affected my interest in creating personal content. But on the few off days I had, I had the chance of creating. This time, I was collaborating with another photographer. He had the concept, model, location, and virtually everything ready. He just wanted me alongside. I obliged and we created together.

Here are the results from the session;

These portraits were borne out of the sheer zeal to create, because we encountered a setback that would have signaled the cancellation of the shoot. We couldn't shoot at our proposed/desired location[a school]. We initially felt the area was free and open to use, but it turned out that it wasn't. Our properties where seized by the school's security, and we spent ample time pleading to get them back.

By the time we got our equipment back, time had been far spent and it was late. In other not to count the day as a waste, the model suggested we had the session at her house that has a mini garden. And that's how we went there, tweaked the plan and created.

Surprisingly, a lot of people had good things to say of the photos when I shared them on Instagram. It was surprising.
