Ok, let's talk about the truth, sometimes we make mistakes with comments, people's attitudes, we take the stories out of context, and in photography it is something that we can do through our compositions, the lighting and the atmosphere of the place we decide to focus our attention on.
Ok, hablemos de la verdad, muchas veces nos equivocamos con los comentarios, las actitudes de las personas, sacamos de contexto las historias, y en la fotografía es algo que podemos hacer por medio de nuestras composiciones, la iluminación y el ambiente del lugar al que decidamos enfocar nuestra atención.
On this time I bring you some pictures that I took yesterday in the afternoon / night, I say so because at 6 pm everything was completely dark while I was walking in one of the parks I always go to, called La Loma in Tepic, Nayarit, really is a site created for recreation of citizenship, where children can play (or could, before covid-19), in these days, we can see visitors in the park, but in smaller numbers, but at the time I was yesterday, is completely alone.
En ésta ocasión te traigo unas fotografías que tomé ayer por la tarde / noche, lo digo así porque a las 6 de la tarde todo estaba completamente oscuro mientras me encontraba paseando por uno de los parques a los que siempre voy, llamado La Loma en Tepic, Nayarit, realmente es un sitio creado para recreación de la ciudadanía, donde los niños pueden jugar (o podían, antes del covid-19), en estos días, podemos ver visitantes en el parque, pero en menor cantidad, pero a la hora en la que estuve ayer, está complemente sólo.
We started from the beginning, I had my Canon T6 with the 50mm lens, I didn't have the tripod, so I used low shooting speeds, I also didn't want to change the white balance for a reason, and that is that the lighting of the place, really makes everything look with that color that made me remember the next song of Crossfade, you can see the video below so you can understand the color I'm talking about, then, the color gradient was already decided.
Iniciamos por el principio, llevaba mi Canon T6 con el lente 50mm, no llevaba el trípode, así que utilicé velocidades de disparo bajas, tampoco quise mover el balance de blancos por una razón, y es que en verdad la iluminación del lugar, hace que todo se vea con ese color que me hizo recordar la siguiente canción de Crossfade, pueden ver el video aquí abajo para que entiendan el color del que hablo, entonces, el degradado de color ya estaba decidido.
Many times I have mentioned how much I like to see statues, I always imagine that they move and I think that I hope that they do it in front of my eyes, well, these small figures for children look good during the day, but at night with the lighting of the place they are transformed into something darker, more sinister.
Muchas veces he mencionado cuánto me gusta ver estatuas, siempre imagino que se mueven y creo que espero que lo hagan frente a mis ojos, bueno, estas pequeñas figuras para niños se bien durante el día, pero por la noche con la iluminación del lugar se transforman en algo más oscuro, más siniestro.
But really, imagine walking through the park and seeing the next scene, you are all alone in the dark, the light creates shadows that make you imagine things that you just don't want to see.
Pero en verdad, imagínate caminando por el parque y ver la siguiente escena, estás completamente solo en la oscuridad, la luz crea sombras que te hacen imaginar cosas que simplemente no quieres ver.
You take courage and keep walking towards the figure that is staring at you, I tell myself that I want a portrait and so I do, the light creates a nice volume in the worn out figure.
Tomas valor y sigues caminando hacia la figura que te mira fijamente, me digo a mí mismo que quiero un retrato y así lo hago, la luz crea un bonito volumen en la desgastada figura.
I keep analyzing a little bit, and I notice a hole in it's head, I don't know, I really imagined things like zombies in the park.
Sigo analizando un poco, y me doy cuenta de un agujero en su cabeza, no sé, en verdad imaginaba cosas como zombies por el parque.
I continued my way and found an interesting figure, an ape under a structure that looks sadly into the distance, the light somehow filtered into his eyes as if he wanted me to take the picture, and so I did, these are the next two pictures, they are similar, I really didn't want to portray anything other than his eyes, can you see the sadness?
Continué mi camino y encontré una figura interesante, un simio bajo una estructura que mira con tristeza a la distancia, la luz de alguna manera, se filtraba hasta iluminar sus ojos como si quisiera que tomara la fotografía, y así lo hice, son las siguientes dos fotografías, son similares, de verdad no quería retratar otra cosa que no fueran sus ojos, Puedes ver la tristeza?
Finally, when I saw the next witch's broom, I realized that the whole trip had been provoked by her, as if she wanted me to take the pictures, or maybe Harry Potter passed by and left his transport to go in an Uber, or maybe simply the person who was sweeping the place collecting the dry leaves, left his work tool because of carelessness, I don't know what happened, I just know that I took the pictures and I didn't want to miss the opportunity.
Por último, cuando vi la siguiente escoba de bruja, me di cuenta de que todo el viaje había sido provocado por ella, como si quisiera que tomara las fotos, o tal vez Harry Potter pasó por aquí y dejó su trasporte para irse en un Uber, o quizás simplemente la persona que andaba barriendo el lugar recogiendo las hojas secas, dejó su herramienta de trabajo por descuido, no sé que fue lo que pasó, solo sé que tomé las fotos y no quise perder la oportunidad.

Muchas gracias, de hecho el color es el que se veía en el lugar, las lámparas tenían ese color y por lo mismo no ajusté el balance de blancos, desde el inicio, el suspenso estaba presente, gracias por tu visita 😁
De verdad que si pones las fotos sin contexto parece que fuera un pueblo abandonado o embrujado esas fotos quedaron arrechisimas el color juega bien con lo que se quiere transmitir. Good job.
Muchas gracias, de por sí en ocasiones no se les da mantenimiento a los espacios públicos, ahora con el covid-19 menos atención reciben, pero bueno, hay que sacar provecho a cada situación que se presenta, es cierto que nos gustan las fotos bellas, pero incluso lo maltratado puede contar una buena historia, saludos.
