Winter is leaving us - wandering in the woods

It was a short winter here, but like most winters there was a lot of freeze and thaw. That made it hard to get into the woods with a kid without spikes on your shoes, something my little guy really doesn't like.

Fortunately we had a couple warmer days that cleaned up the ice and then a freeze to make it walkable again and we took full advantage to go for a picnic by the lake.
