House on repair
This house has no special history. Except that I read somewhere that it wasn't built as a residential building, it was a storage for a ship's timber. Floors and apartments appeared later, in the XIX century, when the need for drying a lot of wood for building ships disappeared.
But I can't guarantee that this information is true. By the beginning of the XXI century the house looked like an ordinary profitable dwelling house. There's a lot of houses like this in this part of the city. Among the architectural features - the house had interesting verandas, common to several apartments... but that's all in the past.
The decision on the future of this territory has not yet been made, whether the house will be demolished or repaired is still unknown. The building is just collapsing right now. I went to photograph this destruction and I want to show the resulting photos.
Thank you very much!
