Victory

Victory

Victory as in the Motorbike no anything else

Victory Motorcycles was an American motorcycle manufacturer with its final assembly facility in Spirit Lake, Dickinson County, northwestern Iowa, United States. It began production of its vehicles in 1998, and began winding down operations in January 2017.
Until I was preparing this post this morning I did not know they had gone out of business

These shots are almost a year old taken on a walk I did in August last year,
along Acushnet Ave here in New Bedford, and I saw this bike and had to get a few shots.

As you can see this model is the Hammer which was first Introduced in 2005.
The company as I understand it was profitable for a few years starting around 2002, but in the last three years of operations it struggled, one article I read said that over the last few years they didn't make any innovative or substantial changes to their bikes just changed colors and that may have hurt the business model and lead to the closing down

I always like taking a shot of the symbol for bikes, as you can see the Parent Company is Polaris, they also own Indian Motorcycles which I think are still in production.

While I was taking the shot sof hte bike the owner came out and suggested a shot of him with the Bike which I did as you can see

Wow, that's a classic bike, amazing look and solid body. Having such killer vehicle is victory itself. Did you ride it?

This bike looks great and you have taken cool shots of it, JJ, although it's not my color because it's too noticeable for me 😉

On the other hand, the owner's motorcycle gear doesn't suit very well to the bike in my eyes. With this outfit and elbow and knee protectors he would better fit on a BMX bike 🤣
I just wouldn't feel safe with this helmet and shorts...

Yes indeed I do agree helmets are not compulsory here. I know if I had a bike I would wear a helmet

Saw your bike in your last post that’s more my style also

!PIZZA is nice but even better with !WINE or !!BEER

I wouldn't feel safe without my helmet or better gear, but everyone has to know what's best for himself, and if the law doesn't requite to wear a helmet it's up to to the riders to decide.

Yep, just black in black, kind of stealth mode ;)

Yes, that's good and safe. My son didn't wear anything but the helmet until his boss had a crash with about 170 mph on a racetrack a few months ago. His boss is alive and soon he will be fully recovered, and my son is wearing a back protector now :)

What a fun ride that would be, zipping in and out the winding landscape, wind blowing the hair out of my face.

I like the body shape and imagine the owner spends countless hours keeping her looking good. I'm a fan of the nameplates!

Four of my brothers had motorcycles and the were the most thrilling way to get around.

Thanks foe the show! Have a great Saturday!

Good looking badge and motor bike, excellent work on 'selective colour' shot!

Oh the bike looks great, driver sheep dressed as lamb, a little out of place Oh well all for a photo and wee bit of fame in the minute.

Ah, I wonder what @bigtom13 would have to say about this as he is also a great bike lover.

Yes, they still make the Indian bikes and have stuck to their retro style, as I have a photo here somewhere that I took of an Indian with a sidecar.

After my Bonnie I changed into a speed man when it comes to bikes, as I had to travel, not cruise, to work every day and I had a 650cc Yamaha. It was a traffic officer's official bike and obviously they sped the engine up to catch Porshces. Went like a bat out of hell that bike.

Our days were jeans, boots and T-shirts with the head covering, sunglasses 🤣
Wild and free.

Lovely shots that you have of the bike here JJ and yes, that rider spoils it a bit with his funny garb.

Blessings.

Oh yeah, I know about your daring days on the off roads JJ and we both know now that they have returned with a vengeance called pain. Pity that we didn't know these things when we were younger.

Yes and I am glad that they are trying to keep the styling original. I for one would love to have one with a sidecar.

Like the low seat and look of that bike. Some of us have short legs! I didn't know they were owned by Polaris. I've been very happy with my Polaris ATV's and looking for a UTV now which will likely be a Polaris.
