Topic For The Day

Prenatal Music

image.png

Now, what exactly is this? Ok this might be a slight controversial topic. So Prenatal Music is basically, the idea of exposing unborn babies to music, and very often classical music. The idea is that by exposing the unborn child to such music, there will be a wealth of benefits. Some of the claimed benefits are as follows

Benefits

  • Hearing Development
  • Fetal Memory

Yups, that is it. Now this is it, at least these are the scientifically proven ones as mentioned by the International Forum for Wellbeing in Pregnancy, a pretty credible source in my opinion.

But that aside, should there be even a tinge of benefit given from just Prenatal Music, then it is a huge plus point. But in my opinion, is this really that real? I mean, I have been listening to music for quite some time but I do not think there are any extra benefits towards any development, or is it that it no longer applies if i am old? Haha.

Question of the day

Do you believe in Prenatal Music, and why so?

Very cool my friend. I'm in. You ready? lol.

@cptsilva

My wife did listen to music like usual in car, in backyard. I guess while she was with our child the child listened to her voice and whatever music she was listening too. For both our boys.

Now my boys play instruments. Maybe my wife listening to that music while with our children it worked out? She is such a queen, best part my queen.

My oldest plays piano, and guitar. My yougin play piano, drums, and bass guitar. I started them off in piano. Once you know how to play piano, you can play all instruments, and get good at math.

I myself @cptsilva do not play any instrument. My instrument is the hammer. I am a carpenter.

I love music of all kinds. But it has to tell me a story. Not stupid stuff.

hey! thanks so much for taking your time to share with me your experience! ha, i am a huge brute too! I come from a family of sportsman, and especially me, I literally have no musical talents!

Was wondering, could it be that your wife is actually secretly talented at music to start off with? Nevertheless, good for you my friend. Seems like you would be make a really proud dad watching your kids in shows and theatres in the future @cptsilva

Yes, but I don't think they heard the music. But they feel the mother's reaction to the music. @rtonline
