Progress is slow. Sleep is hard these days - NoLoafing Loseit Update #3

avatar

I'm a week late with this #noloafingloseit post, but if you saw this on my blog you can get an idea why.

There is a lot going on in the world, and over this last week, there has been a lot more. I haven't been moving as much as I like, but I with the weather this weekend I was able to get a short bike ride in and a bunch of gardening and spring cleaning outside. This was able to bring my average over 100%.

But, you can see that before the weekend I wasn't getting close to 100% of my goal. This was mostly because of what was going on in the house, trying to figure out what is going on in the world and get some answers.

Changes?

I slipped a bit since my last update, but nothing crazy, in fact I am probably holding more steady than I was expecting.

This week I will focus on not snacking after supper and making sure that my activity progress is always above 100%. If I don't think I'm going to make it, I will head out for a 15min bike ride to get over the edge.

The sidewalks around here are pretty narrow and busy, so to keep distance I want to make sure I am on the road.

Covid-19

I'm not as concerned about SARS-COV-2 as I was a few weeks ago, however this is the longevity community. We don't know what the secondary or tertiary affects of the disease are. If you recover from it, does it leave you more suceptible to other diseases? If you have symptoms, and it affects your breathing, is there any long term physical damage?

I would rather avoid the virus altogether. The potential downside is too great. There is a non-trivial likelihood of death, and if not death we don't know the long term affects.

So, stay home, eat right, and keep your distance.

How am I doing!

Starting Weight: 130.3 kg
Starting BodyFat %: 38.8

Current Weight: 129.5 kg

Progress: 0.8 kg

Goal: 100kg at 20%bf *

Following along

I will be continuing with these updates at least once a week, and after 6 weeks or so I will start including progress graphs.

If you want to join comment below and use the #noloafingloseit topic. I will be reading everything that is posted there.

  • This is my initial goal and the date is before January 1, 2021. It is subject to change over the timeline of this project.

Well done. Even keeping relatively static is good in these times of being confined to ones home most of the time.

Thanks. The limited trips to the grocery and corner store is helping keep the food in check. 😃
