This weekend the little man got to have fun with some wildlife by feeding them!

Biting the Hand

When we visited the area the other day, there were a lot of geese and other wildlife around! This naturally was right up the little mans alley. He loved all kinds of animal and wildlife so he was wicked excited to see them, it’s all he talked about for days lol. One of the things he really wanted to do because he saw someone else do it was feed the geese and ducks. Dollar store here we come to get cheap stuff lol

The birds of the area certainly seem like they get fed a lot, as soon as you drop something in the water they come rushing from all around and fight over the little pieces. Funny enough, the swan was too slow and couldn’t get any so he was biting the other birds for a chance lol. The little ones won this one for sure!

I didn’t get any pictures of it when we were in the other area but we tried to feed the birds the bread when they were on the grass with us. That was a bad idea lol they practically came up and tried to steal the bread out of your hands! I didn’t want to get the little man bit so we moved over to the bridge where there was a barrier and we just tossed it down into the water. A lot easier lol. He was taking tiny pieces of bread and tossing it out, laughing as the birds scrambled to get to it first. Cheap entertainment for us!

It’s also one of the times where I try to point out differences in things that we can clearly see. I showed him that the ducks are two different kinds, boys and girls. The boy ducks have the green head while the girls have the brown heads. He was very happy to know there were two kinds and promptly informed Siena when he saw her that it was the case! You can’t see it in this picture but I accidentally got a piece of bread stuck on the back of the swan hahah the other ducks and birds were trying to get it off it but the swan kept biting back and getting them away. It was a little sad to see but pretty funny to watch. Eventually it will fall off and someone will eat it lol.

One of the other things that the little man is obsessed with is trains! He seriously watched train videos on YouTube of just giant freight trains coming and going. I thought it was pretty damn awesome too but he loved it for a few days and since then he’s always loved trains and seeing them. He was so excited to be able to stand next to train tracks. The biggest kick in the nuts though was that the train was out of service the whole day and we didn’t know hahaha. We waited at the tracks for a good 20 minutes waiting to see if it would come and I finally said let’s walk down to the station to see if we can see one and I saw the sign say no service use the bus. Fail! He still got to see a construction truck that has the train wheels come down, drive along the track and that threw him for a bit of a loop seeing that was possible. It was a nice few hours to show him what it was like living near the city.
