I Love Shoveling

Hi fellow Hiveians,

Today I’m going to complain about complainers that just complain to complain. That was fun!

New word maybe? Lol

One of the things that so many people that life in the snowy areas say and complain about is that they hate the snow. It kind of baffles me, they hate something but what they aren’t admitting more is they hate change so they won’t move away from the snow lol.

We got a pretty good dump of snow recently and I keep hearing people I work with and neighbors say they hate the snow. I would love to tell them to shut up and move then but I’ve prodded some of them to say things like ah it would be nice to live somewhere like Florida or Arizona or something where there is much different weather and not snow in the good parts. It’s amusing that they then turn around and say they could never live anywhere besides New England. Have so many people just succumbed to the odd practice of just complaining to complain? It’s crazy lol. I love all of the seasons equally. The cold weather is tough sometimes when it’s in the single digits or colder but at the same time that type of weather is incredibly refreshing for the mind and body. Don’t get me wrong, we are actively trying to make a move to somewhere a lot warmer but will still have another house in the colder climes. Having variability to me is a good thing. I don’t know how much I would like to live in a place that’s constantly the same temperature year round. It would get boring, no? The complainers just enjoy to complain about shoveling, the cold, life, anything they can. One of these days I’ll just tell them to stop complaining, they are alive and mostly well so stop bitching about the small stuff.

Here’s the great amount of snow we got. My glove is in there for scale lol. It’s not purely just the snow fall, there was some wind factored in and blowing around the snow but it’s mostly just good old snow. We got over a foot of it so that was cool! Going to be posting our progress on building the biggest snowman I’ve ever built in my life, so that’s fun! I love the snow because it’s really amazing exercise to be in it. Your cold and body is running on overdrive to keep you warm, so you’re burning lots of calories there. The shoveling part is great because it’s good nearly full body exercise and you get to spend time outside when otherwise you may not because it’s cold. Then the exercising is keeping you warm by doing it so you’re not as cold as before. Good times!

It's human nature my good man, human nature!
I've lived in tropical and cold (seasonal) places and people complain either way. In the Netherlands for example, if it rained people complained about that, winter was too cold, , if if it got hot, suddenly it was called a heatwave and it was too hot 😃. But even here in Caribbean, even though we're used to that 27-31c weather, if it stays at 31 too long you'll hear someone complaining about it 😃.

Haha yeah, that's for sure. I've made a little gripe here and there about some temperatures but some people just thrive off complaining. Amazes me lol.

I get more annoyed with the people that live here in New England that complain about the cold, sure I get that, but those same people complain about the heat in the summer. Can't win with them it seems lol

Complainers that complain about complaining just for the sake of complaining is certainly something to complain about.

Exercisivity...No complaints here on that one mate...Good word. Well madeuperised.

It's a good madeuperised little thing if I do say so myself! No need to complain in the complain community about that one!

There's a time and place for complaineristic behaviourology and one must know when and when not to complainerise. (Complainerize for you Americans.)

Complaining about snow? Man, I'd love snow here! I try not to complain about any weather, as I'm just lucky to be alive.

Except the f**king wrong wind for surfing, now that pisses me off no end.

Hahah yeah, that can definitely put a damper on an Australian's day! I've never surfed except down the slopes of a snow-capped mountain but I can definitely see how the wrong wind direction could be a pain in the ass!

I too try not to complain about any weather. There are so many worse things in life, we don't need to complain about something as frivolous as the temperature, I think!
