There is so much rebirth going with spring, we love it!

Sprouts

One of the really nice things about living in the New England area is when winter is letting go of its hold on the area. It’s really nice to see and experience!

The other nice part is having a kid who is so enthralled with this type of stuff. We really experience the beauty and wonder of the world through the eyes of kids once you have them. It’s an unbelievable thing to experience, if you take the time to do it with them. I’m by no means a perfect parent but I try as hard as I can to be present with him and there when he experiences these things. It makes it special for both of us but a lot for him since I’m paying attention to what he’s talking about and doing instead of him doing it on his own.

Cool part about the fire pit area is it’s got a lot of green space around it and there’s lots of plants that are starting to sprout!

He helped some of them sprout a little bit with his truck lol. One of the things I showed him was that the ground needs to be a good area for the plants to grow so we can’t walk all over it or we will break the plants and stop them from growing. He helped clear some of the debris away from the tops of the plants to let them grow!

He really takes to things that he’s interested in which is awesome. When things don’t he can’t be bothered, which might be tough at school time lol. I showed him once, sort of talking out of my ass but it kind of makes sense, that the plants start growing and knowing to grow when the ground and soil are a certain temperature for a period of time. I touched the ground with him to show him that we can kind of feel the ground being warmer than it was during the freezing temperatures and now this is what he does every time we see the plants lol. I like his enthusiasm for the things like this. We will definitely be planting some great things this year! We did some planting last year but it was only two flowers. This year we will certainly be planting more than that lol.
