Christmas is not the reason to trash someones car and just leave right?

Ho ho ho, what a Christmas thought have I found again today. It is Christmas eve, and for some people this is the night of nights to celebrate together. For me this is just a Sunday with doing laundry, cleaning the house, realising how high the water is currently rising in the neighborhood due to the very long lasting rainfall in the region.

But also a day for just cooking in a really chill way. I am making curry from scratch and making naanbread from scratch and that takes a while. That is a perfect way to spend a rainy Sunday if you ask me.

You just have to get a decent recipe and the right ingredients for it, and that is certainly not the most fun thing to do the day before Christmas where the whole world is heading to with their late shopping lists for dinners they have never made before. People really do walk around as headless chicken in the supermarket on a day like today and I was voluntarily heading there.

Into the mayhem we go!

And it was no fun. No fun at all! People seemed stressed, people are walking up and down with no clear directly (and maybe I even was doing this myself as well oopsie!). But with my small little stash just heading out for my curry I walked back to the car to head home.

And that is when I saw damage on the frontside of it, which is really weird because there is only a walking area next to how you park. The paint scratched off, a small dempt, the mirror sitting different. Someone had surely hit something and had deided to leave again.

Because there was no note or nothing. And that sucks! Because all of these things can be handled just out of insurance work. But now someone decides to not go into the insurance deal, but make it my problem.

Well screw you for doing that on just before a couple of holidays, in a parking lot with no cameras around and not even leaving a note behind or asking inside who the car belongs to.

Someone made that decision for me and that is just really annoying! Okay Grinch, you had your laugh or your scare...But heading off like a chicken into the night, that is just super sad.

Have a merry little christmas and a big screw you to you as well!

Oh man, people like that SUCK!
I'm so sorry that this happened to you, knowing this could have been an easy fix with an insurance in between.

Our car was hit twice since we bought it, one it was probably a drunk guy he made sure to fill in the papers as it was at summer school and my boyfriend called one of the teachers lol. Then I (stupid me) forgot to send these in during the summer fry my brains month.. oops..

Second time someone in our street bumped it quite badly and THANKFULLY left a note. Although it took months before the insurance guy came and the company called us to bring the car, they fixed it as if it was new! So yeah, really no reason to just drive off as things can be handled with insurance quite nicely.

Maybe you can leave message on social or ask at the door of people living there if they saw anything? Just a note in their mailbox would probably be best as they are all celebrating now.

Sorry dear, either way, Merry Christmas <3

I asked around at the supermarket indeed for a bit of anyone had seen anything of if there were some cameras. But I guess the person who does something like this and runs off is also fast with taking off again.

It will sort out eventually with insurance and so, but this is just really annoying!

Luckily by you then that you had a note back then, even though it takes a awhile, it makes life a lot easier!

And yeahhh...merry xmas to the whole family over there! zaaaaaaalig!

Pretty shit, but does your own insurance cover this in case the other party left without a note? We are insured for theft and fire as well but I don't have a clue what happens if someone hits the car without leaving a note.

Enjoy the cooking today :)

Also don't know as yet! In weekends and christmasses they don't answer much ;)

We will see what happens later on in the week!

Oh no! I'm so sorry that happened. It is not okay and completely unacceptable. It could have been resolved so easily and they chose not to.
I hope it doesn't ruin the festive mood for you (curse that person with all the bad words u can :P Santa will turn a blind eye) and enjoy the curry and naanbread!

Not really the christmas thought of bailing out there as it seems right? I secretly did some cursing and then I went over to the curry project which made the mood a lot better!

It will all be fine, it is just stuff!

Oh damn, what a bummer. The Christmas fray is terrifying and I always think someone will hit me!!! People can't drive at Christmas it seems.

Hope it's not too much damage and easy fixed.

Naan from scratch? Now that's impressive.

People are with their head in a totally headspace as it seems with christmas while driving. Not really chill indeed

Naan from scratch is not dfficult at all! Throw this article by rutgerbakt.nl through the translator.

or uhhhh...500 grams flour, 7 grams yeast, 2 spoons of sugar, 175 ml water, 10 grams salt, 50 grams melted butter. make a big ball.. leave for an hour...oven at 250 degrees celsius..

presto! give it a try!
