Fleeing For My Safety

We finally have electricity after over two weeks. I should get some work done while it lasts but I'm so tired. I have a headache and no pain relief available. There's ibuprofen but I don't like using that, paracetamol is always my sure bet.

Today was fun for me though, I went to the tailor shop to get some work done but I ended up gisting and laughing the whole day. It's very much needed but it's also why I have a headache now - an overdose of laughter. It's quite funny that when I laugh, I cry, which then makes my head ache.

The ache is also heightened by the fact that I was scared for a while on my way back home. The passenger that joined me in the tricycle I boarded was giving me the creeps. He was acting funny, shaking his head and laughing to himself in a very weird way. I was very alert and freaked out by his unusual movement. He was dipping his hand in his back pocket when I abruptly told the rider to stop. I wasn't halfway to my destination but I really couldn't risk the rest of the ride with that guy.

This town is too dangerous to take risks. He probably wasn't dangerous though but I wasn't about to find out. So that 3-5 minutes of tension probably shot my blood pressure up, hence the headache 😄

I'm hungry right now and should eat to feel better but I'm so lazy to leave this bed. Plus I'm super uninterested in the food available. My parents have been on some diet that doesn't sit well with me and I'm automatically on that diet too because I can't afford making separate meals. I can't wait for this ordeal to be over.

I hope you're having a good week like me. Stay safe out there, trust your instincts and know when to run 🤞🏾

Ah that’s definitely some good mixed with some tough! Great that you were laughing so much you got a headache lol I don’t know if I’ve ever had that but that’s great!

The combo of the sketchy ass dude and the brutal food at home certainly doesn’t help though, hunger makes the headache worse.

Hopefully you keep electricity for a while, 2 weeks without it is tough indeed!

The electricity didn't last past 3 hours. Back to regular programming.
