IMG_20221112_154847646-01.jpeg

Hello to everyone in the Market Friday community! Today I bring you a new special article dedicated to Market Fridays. It's called the Patio de los Corotos. It is therefore my second visit to the annual garage sale that takes place in Valencia. This time it was located in the center of Valencia, in Plaza Bolivar, a very busy place that is perfect for this large event. So join me on this tour. Thanks to @dswigle

The event took place in the festival that was held a few weeks ago in Valencia, called Expo Valencia, in the same was the Patio de los Corotos, who had their participation in this event. Taking advantage also that this organization of vendors has been active since the month of October and is expected until the end of December. The first visit was in the old Exito Mall. This as part of the promise to extend the time of the event by the organizers.

Gracias a @dswigle

We visited them at about four o'clock in the afternoon. At that time there was a huge crowd and I was trying to make a space to better appreciate each stand. Among the stores that caught my attention, there was one that had women's clothing in very good condition and at a good price. But unfortunately I did not find things in my size since the owner of the clothes was a young woman with a small size and I am much bigger. However, I was able to get some blouses for everyday wear that are really useful for me at another stall.

Further on we got a very interesting stall as the owners are artists who are into glass figurine printing. The themes in general were about anime characters. We also found some Funko Pop, stuffed animals, cosplay costumes and shirts with quite particular designs. I could not get at the moment any number or account to be able to follow them and leave here their Instagram account. It was all very fast.

As expected, most of the garage booths already had the adorable Christmas decorations out. I am a Christmas lover myself but have yet to get ornaments of my own to fill my house with some of them. I have been in search of a Christmas tree that is small and useful for my home since I have limited space. I loved these pine trees you see in the picture, they seemed to be handmade and the truth is they were just as I was looking for but my husband didn't like them too much. So we ruled it out.

On the walk, my husband met a friend who was accompanying his family during the sale. They were selling women's clothing and some household items. They also had two guitars that caught my husband's attention (he plays guitar). But we had no plan to buy an instrument, although the price was very good, the acoustic guitar was around 50$ and the electric guitar 60$. I didn't take pictures of this moment because I completely forgot about it.

Finally my friends, we spent about an hour and some more between finding something for me and getting to know each stall. As I said in a previous opportunity, garage sales are great to pass the time, get discontinued and valuable items, as well as give them a new chance and depending on your search, find affordable and good prices. Without further ado, I hope you enjoyed this tour. If you are interested in knowing about the Patio de los Corotos I will leave here its Instagram in case you are in Valencia and want to take a look: @elpatiodeloscorotos. The next event will be on December 4th. I send you a big hug, thank you very much for stopping by and see you next time.

How fun! I love garage sales like this where you can spend hours going through all sorts of things. I like when I find a surprise! It is too bad about the guitars, but, probably a good call. We should only buy what we need. :) (sometimes, yes?)

Have you found a Christmas tree yet? They make skinny pencil trees for people that have small spaces. I have one in my entryway and it fits perfectly! I am glad you found a couple of shirts. I love giving things a second life!

Thanks for being part of #MarketFriday!

I enjoy learning about the world and how it is to live in your corner of it, and if there are solutions to making it better in any way. I find it interesting to compare, not by the world's standards, but, by how we find the quality of our life with different indicators than the world does. It is not always about the wealth in money, sometimes money means very little when there is no value behind it. You cannot buy health although you can take care of what you have. Being educated isn't always about schooling, but acquiring knowledge and using it for the better good and happiness of the society you are living in. It is with great pleasure that I read through this and all of the posts, with these thoughts in mind.

Don't miss the small things in your life, they usually make no noise but can be indicators of bigger things. I enjoy learning more about you and hope you feel the same, that is why I find it important to take the time to read a couple of #MarketFriday posts and leave a genuine comment. It is important for a community to do this, learning about others, and getting to know each other. The fun is in getting to know people and making a positive contribution to community life. All this fun and money too. What is not to love? That is one of the reasons I joined Hive. How about you? :) I leave you with the guidelines. I hope you are having an amazing week!

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

  1. Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service. It can be a movie, an auction, or even a museum. Wherever money is exchanged for a service or product.
    Take pictures! Be creative!
  2. Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost? Was it expensive? Did it go up or down? A scroll of pictures with few words doesn't usually work.
  3. Post the pictures. Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post, it is too difficult to guess about some.
  4. Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post (#hive-196308) This is not required but appreciated.
PLEASE Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it!!
  5. Following me and reblogging the post would be appreciated, but not a rule, more vision for more views on the #MarketFriday posts!
    7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post.

As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!
