Guess what?
It's Saturday...
It's been a long week and it's finally time to rest and stay away from the usual morning rush that comes with the working days. Weekends for me are always cherished even though it's always short, anyways. Boom... It's going to be Monday again in a couple of days. Nevertheless, I'm going to enjoy my weekend while it last.

Talking about enjoying it while it last. I started today off by dashing out to the market to get some soup ingredients to make myself a nice pot of soup. Due to the coronavirus markets open three times in a week now - Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. I had to do my shopping early because the market will be rowdy once it's getting deep into the day. I may have to spend more time before I get what I want and that's why I decided to do my shopping as early as I can. Apart from that I'd definitely get the best of everything.

I want to make melon soup also known as Egusi. I got vegetables, Ugwu vegetables to be precise, melon, Ponmo, fish, meat, crayfish, pepper, Tomatoes, onions and seasonings.

Thank you for your time lovelies.

Thank you so much for participating in the #MarketFriday challenge! I wanted to know if this Market was close to your house and a local market? I guess it makes it more interesting to know where things are. You don't say where you are from but I always think it's part of the cultural experience to know where people are coming from. Even the food that you are making is cultural and that makes it pretty cool to me to be able to share our cultures across the world. It looks like you have a variety of choices and the market is quite large. Is this the market that you normally go to, even when there is no Corona?

I must ask because there is one picture where they have plastic bowls. Can you tell me what those are used for? It looks like it's to hold the vegetables but then you must give them back I'm assuming? There were a lot of them which only means to me that that is a very crowded Market at times!

Soup is one of my favorite foods and I was looking at yours and now I will have to look up the name of it because I'm curious that way. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this all out and presented to Market Friday. It's been a pleasure!

Of course, we all want to know what part of the word you are in! :) It is part of our cultural experience! Thank you so much for taking the time to join the challenge! I appreciate the love and support you are giving to #MarketFriday! Without you and people like yourself, I wouldn't be able to have such a successful challenge! I know that at this time, it is harder to find something to fit the challenge. On a good day, it takes a lot of time and effort to be part of, so it means a lot to me that you participate. I hope you know that there is great latitude in what Market means. It can be typical of where you shop for food, or it can be a unique place that you visit. Thank you again for being a part of all this and I hope that you will, indeed, have a great day and week ahead! If you or any of your friends are in doubt about how to participate, this should clear it all up!

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:
