Market Friday - A Trip to the City
We had a shopping trip to the city a few days ago. Sadly, there won't be any gatherings for the Sheffield Pride this year, so to mark the occasion the local LGBTQ+ group have installed a rainbow crossing to mark the occasion instead.
I hung around waiting for someone to walk over the crossing so I could take a photograph. Unfortunately, nobody turned up. Where are the Beatles when you need them?? Perhaps you are too young to understand that .....
I popped into the indoor market to see if I could buy another face mask. The one I have is a bit too thick. Having asthma, I'm not a lover of mask wearing and I'm not totally sold on the idea either. However, I thought I'd wear one just so people don't get freaked out. Ironically, you couldn't go into the indoor market without a mask to buy a mask. Confused? So am I.
Seeing these guys queuing up at the bank, reminded me of the scene from the film 'The Full Monty'. I can just hear the music now ... thank god they didn't start thrusting!
We made our way from the city and went off to our favourite little cafe. It's only just reopened and things have changed since we last visited. Apparently, we aren't allowed to pick up the sauce bottles and cutlery anymore. The owners have to bring your cutlery and a little pot of brown sauce over to your table instead. It's the highlight of my week to squeeze brown sauce all over my food. If I'm honest I felt a little cheated.
If I didn't laugh at how weird life has become, I think I'd never go out again!

Nice to see some pictures of Sheffield, I'm missing popping over to visit at the moment, although I got a new lens yesterday so I'm thinking of a very early morning excursion over one day before it gets busy with people and have a play with some shots 😉
I always think I'm never going to see anything new to photograph but I always do!

OMG~! You are hilarious! Yes!!! The Full Monty! Haha! I can picture it... now move a little bit. What? NO Beatles there? You should have asked someone to walk across. I don't find that beneath me. LOL I need a prop, darn it, Get in there!
I get it with the masks. Crazy, huh? And I won't even insult myself yet to go into anywhere to eat. So not worth it. Well, I am hankering for a nice chimichanga but, I think I will just make my own. Thank you. Thank you! I always get a huge kick out of your posts!
