Cruising through Market Friday Challenge | Shopping is so much closer to heart

When we shop around, we tend to look out for something new and different. No matter how true it can be, sometimes we also shop in places that is closest to our hearts. On this occasion, Decathlon brings great joy to me as it really reminds me of home. After all, I am in Aeon Mall, the one and only Aeon Mall in HCMC. Even the overall design and layout of the mall is similar to the ones back home. I couldn't help smiling as I walk around the mall. And when I saw the huge sign of DECATHLON on the first floor and a mannequin display of it at the courtyard, I felt really happy.

Many may look at me strangely as I took these photos but I didn't care what anyone thought of me. Sometimes the smallest things brings the biggest joy to our lives. Guess that what they mean by Don't sweat the small stuff.

I was wearing a pair of sneakers & sport shorts which I bought from Decathlon Malaysia and in some way, I felt really proud to be standing with these mannequins 😆. It's silly but who cares ! Looking at these mannequins, it inspired me to walk towards the direction of the store which was located at the far end of the mall. Taking an easy stroll, I finally found the store at the first floor; just behind the escalator.

It was intriguing to know if the store was as large as the ones back home and if they had similar products. I mean, I was used to the large one-stop-shop Decalthon in which one could find anything sporty at very reasonable price. I'm not one who would spend a bomb on sportswear but if it's within my budget and I would use it frequently, then it's considered worthwhile. Brand or no brand doesn't really matter to me. So long as it's comfortable, that's good enough for me.

The inside of Decathlon is large and the price is a bit more than what we would pay back home but still reasonable, I guess. Though not as many people as I expected it to be, nevertheless, it's a good day to shop around this store. I'm glad I decided to drop by Aeon Mall, a day worth spend even if it was by myself. To be honest, I actually enjoy shopping by myself. Walk when I want to, sit when I'm tired, eat when I'm hungry and buy whatever and whenever I feel like it. There's no ones to judge me and none whom I need to seek approval from. Just a perfect day 😘
