In the photo with the catamaran, my eyes played a trick on me for a second and made me think the clouds were moving.

Silly eyes !

You are not seeing things! Every time I look at that picture, I feel like it moves. Must be an optical illusion... well, because the other option is too scary.

Hi, El! How are you tonight? It poured last night, with a side of thunder and lightning. All night long. On the flip side, it cleared up for the morning and the grass looks great! And then tonight, it was the old, rinse, repeat kind of job... Greener grass tomorrow?

How is your weekend going to shape up? Can you go see mom yet? Thanks for stopping by and for leaving your words with me.

#MarketFriday loves you!

I thought it was supposed to rain here this evening, but so far, not a drop !

We have had lots of rain off and on, so things are pretty green and lush here too.

I can only go see Mom if we visit outside. I mean, we could do whatever we wanted, but I don't trust the environment yet.... do you ?? I saw somewhere that some place had an 80% spike in covid cases. In the last day or two. I've really been unrestful about it, I mean, will we ever be able to have our whole family together again?? I fear she is becoming overwhelmed chasing the grown toddler around all day. I need to know how to save her.

There has been a spike in many places with COVID cases, especially as they open up more and more and people are treating it like life before it all started. Baby steps, people. Let's ease into it, using our masks and keeping socially distant where possible. Even airlines were shoveling in the passengers like sardines.

Hello?

You don't go anywhere and neither does your mom. It is good you are being careful about it. Who brings in their mail every day? I think I probably asked you this before. I know he has kids of his own and I would probably be guilting them by now to give respite care to your mom. She is eligible for respite care, but, of course, then you are letting strangers into the house and well, darn, that is no good either.

I have to be honest with you. At this point, I would be tempted to go over to your moms and give her a hand. You buy her groceries and she probably handles them right after you. I'm just saying, weighing the risks, her getting sick from being overwhelmed, and the risk of her catching anything from you ... I would say that I would probably go see her. She isn't going to make you sick and she has been alone for way too long.

Let me know how things go. xoxo @jacey.boldart

My older sister who is retired has taken on the task of making a grocery/meds/whatever run to Mom's once a week. (of course she would do something in-between if needed).... and they have a system where Mom leaves open the back of a suburban with the garage door open and my sister loads them in. Then Mom can take them out as needed and for the frig'd stuff, she wipes everything down with the clorox wipes. She use to wipe the other stuff too, but I told her that since she wasn't waiting till she was out, she could just leave the other stuff out there for some days without taking them in ...blah blah blah..... Mom takes in the mail and she "thinks" she has a system on that took but I told her with mail being mostly porous, wiping it down may or may not be helpful. Since her bills are never behind and nothing else is important, she needs to just let it sit and maybe open each day after it is 5 days old or so..... and of course washing hands after. She still has a good mind, but of course, with all the stress at home, it would be easy to over look something..... jeepers.... no way ot know how to handle everything.... .but she's trying ....I know, I know, everyone is dealing with it.... with the exception of the ones that are not....LOL ! People !! When it comes to my life and the lives of those I love, I'm chosing to err on the side of caution. I still wish there was a solution for her situation. There was an older gentleman that was coming twice a week so she could get away before this happen and he didn't think there was much to the covid thing and wanted to keep comeing, but she was afraid to let him. sigh..... and I would have been too, so I think she made the right decision.....in the way of covid.

She made the right decision. Indeed. Especially if he is giving respite care and thinks nothing about maintaining,

The mail is something you and I talked about before. I couldn't believe how many people don't think about how many hands touch it before you get it and nobody knows how long it could be contaminated.

Even groceries, the most careful people are wearing gloves and masks to the stores and the plopping those things in the cabinet. There will be an end to all of this or we will carve out a new normal. In the meantime, your mom is in my thoughts and prayers.

Yeah... I wear masks and gloves to the store and leave the non frig things in the bags over at the piano for days. I always clear two shelves in the frig before my grocery trip to quarantine the new stuff on, taking care to clean anything I want to use soon.

Thank you, the more prayers for Mom the better. Bless Tommy's heart.
