'Akoto ' Traditional cane work of creative and beautiful arts and items
Hello Hiveians
I paid a visit to this cane work shop and was surprised to see all the beautiful arts, items and hampers made from wood beating into strips of came.
Isn't this just amazing.
Another height of creativity.
Cane work is not very common Here and not many people involve in this creative art.
There was a gradual growth and improvement from making just traditional hand fans, hats and sleeping mats to making of chairs, tables, resting sofa and hamper gift basket.
Am not sure if this is a profitable business but this are beautiful creative work of art and I wish that people will patronize this talents.
Traditional bamboo hand fans can be made in this beautiful decorative form.
You could also get mats and hats in this manner, the hats are majorly for market women and a protected shield from the hot sun on market days.
We now have these hats modified into fashion items and worn on certain outfits but the question is would you be willing to put on cloths or hats made of sticks 😀😀😀.

I love weaving snd caning looks very similar. Most people that do it here go to bigger markets to sell, they can reach more people. I like the chairs and the baskets, and, actually, I love it all.
He is a very talented man to be able to learn/teach himself how to create bigger and better pieces and still keep his smaller baskets and fans updated. I would love to know how he is doing in a few months and see if his business is building up! This is a great post today.
