Hello Hive

img_1656060405665.jpg

It has been awhile I came around the market Friday community and I must confess how much I miss everyone here and the tour to different towns and villages, shopping for various beautiful items, the life and culture of the different locations you bring to our view.

Things haven't been really easy for me lately even as the inflation is eating deep into my finances and has forced me to cut down on both outings and purchases.

I haven't come around to blog about shopping because i can't remember when last I went to the market or a grocery store.

I just stayed glued to other communities on hive to see how I can blog, earn and keep our home going.

Even the tokens I have earned on hive have remained in savings since the market values for those token have fallen far behind that even a hundred hive cannot pay for our meals for two weeks. This is for those of us that are still dependent on hive for our daily bread.

Truly hive is saving lives

Thanks to all we earn here that puts food on our table. For now we are living very quiet lives and waiting for when we would have enough resources to buy most of the things we need.

So this week I paid a visit to a thrift store in Ilorin and guess all the beautiful items laying in stock.

You won't believe these are thrift clothes, the ones people popularly call bend down select.

The manner in which the store owner packages the thrift is amazing and no one will visit or see attractive outfits like these without wanting to buy then.

This is how the clothes are delivered in bales..

Next she unpackaged them and take to a dry cleaner. Wash, clean and iron them out.

These cleaning process adds value to the clothes.

She take pictures of the outfits to make them more presentable, before selling to customers on different Social media handle.

She sells thrift on WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and all.
You may want to check out pearl and comfy stores online.

You get pictures of available items directly into your WhatsApp page like the ones sent to her business page I belong in.

You can see the sizes boldly attached to it.

If I place an order, a dispatch rider is sent to bring the outfits to my door step at a token.

Definitely distance is not a barrier for any business and online trading is more common these days.

Paying a visit to the store taught me alot about buying and selling and even in a competitive market you can still manage to make good sales if you know how to package your goods.

I picked a few items and am still to wear or model them, you will get to see these lovely items later.

Its a pleasure to be here again. ❤💖

I hope we stay calm and live our best lives regardless of the current economic situations

Great to see she does present here products so well after cleaning them. It does add value and people will see that and come from afar, even ordering on-line if it is presented well.

Yes, hive does change lives! Happy Friday 👋🏻☀️

it's very interesting what you chose. 😃 this shop owner is doing everything right. if the clothes look nice, they are clean and ironed, then it is easier to sell. the product must be presented from the best side. I liked this idea of selling things online using whatsapp. it's very convenient

It always pays to present yourself well and she really does! This is a salesperson that goes the extra mile to show off her goods in the best light. Showing off something clean and pressed also gives me the impression that it was an article of clothing that was cared for.

Of course, we miss you here on #MarketFriday, but I am so happy to see you growing in different ways. I like the shop you chose as it is a practical way to stretch your budget when wardrobe shopping. I admire you very much for tossing off the typical living in the moment mentality and planning for the future, even if it means the ever-changing times of today.

Great post and much luck to the business and for her keeping up with the constant changes in the market. I hope you and your family are doing well!
