Spending That Money
One thing I am not big on is spending money. I dont mind spending if it is on something fun, like camera gear or my computer, but for the likes of car repair, not so much.
So we built my PC in the winter. At that time Ben said I would need to add a thermal cooler to my new AMD chip because the stock one would not be adequate once the temps in the house started to rise. I was rendering a video the other day and the temp got over 82C so I thought before I pushed it further, I better break down and get a cooler.
This thermal paste was about 8 bucks. It provides a good contact between the CPU and the cooler.
Aint she a beauty! Ben got the new black Scythe CPU cooler and I got his chrome one. I think the chrome one looks pretty cool with my rainbow color LEDs going!. Not too shabby for about 50 bucks!

Less fun is spending 800 bucks for new tires. I would love to show a pic of the new rubber, but alas they are on order :(
Least fun at all was finally getting my truck out of the shop. It went in on April first, which should have been an omen. Nearly 2000 bucks later and a month and a half, I got it back. Now I just wonder how long that new clutch will last... I sure hit a bunch of bad luck. Hope it is about over!

Most of us can say this.
If I would have the money, I would do it too.
Until then I will use this cheap, Chinese junk smartphone (Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite).
One of my friend once said that car is a luxury. Looks like he is right. But I must mention the fact that some people buy a whole car for that (or for even less) money.
We used to be able to here as well. Now the money is near worthless. Now it takes what used to purchase a home just to buy a car.
It's all relative. If you didn't have it, you wouldn't spend it. You just bought 4 new tires? You and those car are an expensive proposition.
I would ask what the repair cost has been this year... Look up the current value of your car using Kelley Blue Book or another like it. When repair costs start to be more than the vehicle’s value or/ one year's worth of monthly payments on a replacement, it might be time to break up with your car. No? Remember my story on how my new car, with its fuel efficiency and no repair bill, was less than the old one?
Sometimes, but, not always for sure.
Well this car has basically been donated to the kids. Thankfully they are going to handle it, so I dodged this bullet.
