My MarketFriday : Purchasing IT goods for office

I generally don't go outside of home without any necessity from March of this year due to current coronavirus pandemic. That's why my marketing have become limited on last few months.

Last week I was authorised by my college institution to purchase some computer and parts. So I can't ignore my responsibility as a purchase officer. I had to go to the market to purchase this items with three of my college colleagues.

It's YUNUSCO Shopping Centre at GEC circle, Chittagong, Bangladesh. As it was a Friday, weekend of our country, most of the markets were closed. So we have no other option except UNESCO shopping centre because it is the only computer market opened in this city at Friday.

We went to the top floor of the YUNUSCO shopping centre. It is the market floor dedicated for computer, laptop and accessories.

There were the requirement of
taking quotation from different sellers and compare the quotations that which one is best for our institution. We randomly selected some sellers both brands and non-brands shop of the YUNUSCO centre and collected some price quotation of our required items.

Then we compared the quotations in accordance with the following points:

  • Brand value
  • configuration
  • pricing
  • after sales service
  • professionalism
  • other facilities

...And we found Ryans, an well recognised computer brand shop of our country, that met most of the conditions of our institution.

I had informed earlier that they are very much professional and their after sales service is better than others. It is very important for the consideration of purchase of an institution like us. As it is an educational institution, we required convenient and easy aftersale service for maintaining quality service of institutional students.

So I purchased our required products from Ryans and my experience was really excellent about it. All the seller boys were very well-mannered and expert. They were also technically solid as they answered all the questions of literary technical issues perfectly.

After confirming purchase, they sent us another room where they tasted their items and show us as if it was performing well or not.

We purchased the following items:

  • Desktop (01 piece with all parts)
  • Laptop (02 pieces)
  • Sound boxes (01 set)
  • Printer Machine (03 pieces)
  • Wireless Mouse and keyboard (03 sets)

And the service boys picked the products up to our car. Finally we completed our market friday with a lot of satisfactions.

Thats all about my this week #marketfriday.

You usually put where your market is, it is good to tell everyone in case you have a new reader that week.

I remember that all the stores are closed on Friday, a weekly holiday for everyone. You can tell when they become too Westernized when they are open when the rest of the world is closed. That is how it started in the United States. We used to have what they call Blue Laws which forbid sales of any sort on Sundays. Somewhere along the way, they repealed this law and, in my opinion, ruined the day set aside for church, rest, and family time.

I was surprised that so many of the signs were in English, I have no idea why, but, it was surprising. You are very fortunate they were open, yes? Otherwise, you would just shop on Saturday? Of course, you went with the knowledge of all that you needed and what you were expecting and looking for. It is so pleasurable to shop for nice equipment when someone else budget covers it! I am happy that you got knowledgable and polite salespeople. They make it a pleasure to do business with! There have been some really interesting ways that #MarketFriday has been presented, all of which adds all the more charm to the mixing bowl. The challenge points out our differences, but, then, it also shows many things our cultures share. When the day is done, it shows off how human we all are and how we basically all care about our families and others. I love the experience of it all. I appreciate the love and support given to #MarketFriday! Thank you! Truly! Your participation adds a piece of your world, and I have to say, people are interested in is seeing it. This entire challenge has opened up the world to me and so many others. Thank you again for being a part of all this! I hope you have a fabulous day! Hive on!!
