Thank God it's Friday

It's also Market Friday here on Hive, a platform to showcase different markets, food joints, restaurants, and anything that can be exchanged with money. Basically, that's the idea of Market Friday.

Today, I'd be sharing some snapshots of random street food vendors I spotted around my workplace during the week. These are examples of local food vendors that are affordable for an average man.

Even though the quality of the meal might not be top-notch or perfectly seasoned to one's taste but it's still manageable to fill the stomach for the day's hustle.

Some of what the food vendors sell include Eba, Semovita, Egusi, Ogbono soup, Okra soup, moi moi, àkàrà balls and so on.

Staple food served along the pavements one finds some who really offer a wonderful nourishing meal. Many ladies stand cooking in the early hours of the morning ensuring meals are ready by lunch time.

Street vendors make very little as a sustainable living, always good to support @williams-owb

That's true, they make little or no profits from their sales but they still do it to keep body and souls together. Patronizing and supporting them is key to promoting their business.

Thanks for the tip.

I love the effort these people put forth to make sure a nourishing meal is served to the people. I am sure the profit is meager if anything. I only have admiration for these ladies that get up at the crack of dawn to ensure there is a meal to be had on the streets.

Thank you for showing off the street culture here. I have so much respect. Thank you! I want to thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday! Each week, I post for the challenge to provide a different look of American culture, some of it over the top and some, everyday things. Sometimes, I just show places that I have gone to, all having an entry fee to qualify it for the #MarketFriday tag! It is a challenge to find new things during the pandemic, but, we still have to live, so we have been able to pull it off. It shows off how much we are alike and how different life can be. In the end, it makes it an experience that I look forward to. I appreciate the love and support you give to #MarketFriday! It Is heartwarming to see how many posts into the challenge, including you.
