A Special Friendship

I once mentioned this strange friendship in one of my posts.

The friendship between two pets and a wild bird raised as a poultry.

Between a cat, a dog and an ostrich.

For one thing I turned out to be wrong - that the dog is a 'She'.
Because I already saw that it is a 'He" 😄. (And this is strange, because I usually recognize the sex of animals, even just by their faces.)

That's why I can no longer be sure about the sex of the bird I thought was a male.

But if it really is a man, as I thought from the very beginning, then the only female representative in the group will be our little feline lady.

And then the interest of the two male animals shown towards her would be understandable.

Still weird but understandable. 😃

Because the cat, our capricious princess, is constantly striving to attract their attention.
The attention of them both.

She coquettes, flirts.

Like any woman.

But honestly, I wasn't prepared to see her in that position in front of the dog and the ostrich:

In fact, I was even shocked.

You know when cats show their bellies so openly - only when they trust someone.

And considering how vulpine and smart our feline babe is, I still can't understand how she can reveal herself so easily in front of the neighbor's dog and a huge wild bird.
Is this a real friendship? Or does the fence between them work wonders and play with the trust of animals?

And to what extent can we humans understand and comprehend the animal psyche?

I continue to observe the behavior of these animals every day and I never cease to be amazed.
