No more splints...

Three weeks have already passed since Enzo had the fatal landing after trying to jump what looked like a simple 60 cm high wall on the side of him and that on the other had a 10 meters high drop.
We can say that Enzo was born again just 3 weeks ago.
Today the veterinary traumatologist has removed the splints and the bandage, leaving his two anterior surgery-corrected legs exposed despite still inflamed.

Believe it or not, Enzo has been able to walk very carefully and it seems that his legs support well although he does not risk taking long walks and immediately looks for a good soft corner to lie down.

The vet has advised me to avoid visiting the dog area for at least a week, we do not want some careless play with other dogs that could harm the healing, that is, we will have to rest for some more time.
Afterwards, the goal will be to lengthen the walks as Enzo feels less pain and gradually decrease the pain relievers to zero.
Let's hope that in a few weeks Enzo can lead a more normal life ... and so will I 😅

Wait...still not clear, we have to wait for 3 more weeks at least to see if we can avoid another surgery

Nice Enzo is being cautious himself, I'm glad he is recovering quite well.
