Probably there is only one thing that can beat the pains...

...and it is the irrepressible desire to eat.

Tonight Enzo has managed to get up from his bed and, between groans of pain, he has visited us in the kitchen where we were having dinner.
Not even the greatest pain has been able to fight this dog's instinct to feed at any time.

As soon as he has finished eating his bowl of feed, he has gone straight, limping, to his resting place.
It seems that things are going well although we have only been at home for a couple of days and we cannot assure that the surgery will be a success until 5 or 6 weeks from now when the splints will be retired definitely. After that moment, I understand that the rehabilitation process will come... so, let's take it easy.

Tomorrow I have a videoconference with the vet where I will comment on the progress and he will tell me what are the instructions to follow until next week's visit.

To be continued.
